MATT SHERLOCK - Sealcoating Scam
Whereabouts Update
This youngish male, short in stature, is currently working the Indianapolis, IN area, specifically the northeast side.
He is driving a large late model Ford/Chevy Red pickup truck, 4-door crew cab. Gives the story that he worked for his father's asphalt paving company and wanted to branch off on his own, but that 'asphalt was too expensive', so he chose sealcoating. I was suspicious from the get-go, as he pulled up in a nice, shiny newer pick up truck, and then he got out and had no asphalt or sealer coating stains on him and especially on his shoes.
He gave me a flier and it had the (803) 439-2018 phone number on it, plus about 50 spelling and grammatical errors on it. Claims to use 'Gilsonite Sealer', 'the best in the business' and that he' gets a better seal by spraying it on.' After I told him 'no', I came inside and did a google search on 'Matt Sherlock' and 'Asphalt' and the screen lit up. I then did an internet search on the '803' area code and sure enough, it came up as South Carolina, right where the Irish Travelers reside.
So beware, gentle readers, of this scam artist, as he is in central Indiana.
