Matthew Steinfeld Steiny Techniques, Matt Steiny barter scam Anthem, Arizona
I entered into a barter agreement with a owner of Steiny's Techniques, following my August 3rd posting on Phoenix Craigslist. My service provided - on August 6th 2011 was a 60-minute therapeutic massage. The service I was to receive in return was manicure & pedicure from Value Card Alliance (which Matt Steinfeld) was a member of and claimed he would let me use his points to get the nail services.
After delivering my end of the deal, I had an appointment on a Monday (August 8, 2011) with a Theresa, whose name I obtained through Matthew Steiny. To my disappointment, she was nowhere to be found and was a no-show.
I called Matt and after numerous attempts, he said that he'd just pay me $50 cash. While that was on August 12th, I have not received a thing. He has said he would just 'drop the money off and put it under my doormat', 'mail it to me', and other excuses.
I have tried repeated to reach him (via text, voice mail and email) and he has simply ignored them all.
I have reported him to Value Card Alliance and VCA only said it's out of their hand.
