I was wanting to purchase a puppy from a supposedly grieving widower from Salt Lake City, UT.  He was selling the shih tzu puppies for 600.00.  A very low price he claimed because his wife was the breeder and passed away.  The puppies were a painful reminder of his wife.  He had me fill out an adoption form and later he chose me to adopt the female puppy.  I could not pay right away, so he said for a 200.00 deposit he would hold the puppy for me untill it could be shipped to me in a few days.  He requested I purchase a RELOADIT pack and scratch the back of the card and send him the numbers.  During this time he was providing information of the puppies vaccines, AKA regstery information, and the pet transportation agency procedures.  All was good and friday I finalized the payment of 400.00 for the adoption and 140.00 for the transporting.  Again, using the RELOADIT pack.  It was hours before I heard from him again.  He apologized and stated he had an episode and had to go to the hospital.  He guaranteed my puppy would be ready to go Saturday morning from Utah to my home in Texas.  Saturday morning the transport company called me, Ushipit transportation.  The foreign man told me there was bad weather in Utah and the puppy would need to be in an anti-pressure crate and need vaccines to make the trip.  He was going to charge me 1060.00 that was refundable once the puppy arrived at my home.  He would not take Credit card info, but wanted the RELOADIT pack.  I snapped and asked him if it was refundable why did I have to pay upfront and with this form of pmt.  He stated this was company policy.  I told him I felt like I was being scammed by him and the more I thought about it, the man with the puppy.  As a matter of fact I feel like they are the same person.  I tried calling the owner of the pup, but I got a voicemail that was a standard recording, not personalized.  I tried to reach out to RELOADIT pack website and this red flag popped up BEWARE of Fraud.  Why isn't that on the cards for consumers to see?  I researched ushipit and talked to a customer service rep and found out they will not take any form of payment that cannot be traced, and there is no refund of extra costs.

Needless to say, I was scammed by both of these individuals and RELOADIT, who in my opnion should also take some responsibilities.  I couldn't even get passed the automatic voice response with RELOADIT because I could not locate the card#, even though I provided the # that is scratched off the back of the card.  On the RELOADIT pack website, the beware popup stated that once information was provided to someone else, it could not be traced.

she is just one of a plethora of individuals hiding behind non-transparent 501-3. they are illigitimate and interested in monetary gain. they steal dogs for "rehoming" at gargantuanine fees, show lost and found miraculous rescues all based on their felonious comments and ficticious names, and dogs that don't sell or are "rescued thru the efforts of nameless invisible volunteers"and are no longer heard of end up on the other side of the spectrum...sold as bait dogs to unscrupulus dog fighters. Even when you identify your dog a faceless addressless person may tell you the dog just ran off, it was given to a relative or sent out of town. the excuses are always ludicrous and without merit. that is part of their M.O. Hire a pet detective; they are often associates of the same people. these are not animal lovers. they leave a trail of human wreckage in their wake. FRONT THESE PEOPLE OUT...here are some more....Elizabeth Trujillo, Defenders of Wildlife. This is not Dr Ely the founder and it is nothing more than a facebook driven phone room scam....Pass the word...please

My husband emailed Maureen Lydie from his gmail account and told him he was interested in a puppy.

Lydie responded saying he had two puppies and they were located in Salt Lake City, UT.

My husband replied saying he also lived in Salt Lake City and wanted to come by and see the puppies.

Lydie relied back that he already sold them.

I researched the phone number from Ushipit and 915-247-6071 is a landline in Llano, Tx.

Hope you can help me get justice.
