I recieved a letter stating I can make good money from home stuffing envelopes all I need to do was send check money order or cash in amount of $199 to get my materials and be entered into the computer database to get started was told after making my 9th pay check my $199 would be refunded paychecks according to letter will be sent out every week on Tuesday.

So I went to my bank purchased a cashier check and mailed it certified mail with a receipt now what struck me as weird is that date it was signed for was in the future but I waited to see if materials were going to be sent to me and they never were after that I used white-pages to try and find company they were not listed I feel like such an idiot I should have done research before sending my $200 dollars.

You dont need to see the back.  check out her routing number at the bottom of her check.  All Routing numbers in the United States are nine digits longs.  seems she forgot to cut and paste the other three numbers in as she only has six.  its a fake check.

So I was looking into this because I received a letter also.  I have a question about the copy of the check Debra scanned.  Where is the account number?  It has the check number and routing number but no account number.  Just something I saw that no one else seemed to have picked up on.

The check does not prove that the person is earning money. What one needs to understand is the cost and expenses up front for this type of schema. It is very similar to a pyramid scheme but is in a different form. Also, the expenses up front is what should be accounted before seeing the result as the paycheck.

In this case, $700s check means nothing compared to what one needs to spend before even getting the first check. It is similar to giving the company money to hold on, and then the company gives a portion of the money back to the person. If the person gets excited of the amount of money received, it demonstrates that the person has no idea of how the scheme works because it requires simple maths and planning.

So, it would be the same if you keep the money to yourself rather than spend it and get (a portion of) your own money back in a form of checks.

I sent money to maxwell gates and got the materials, mailed them out had to buy stamps and have not received any checks of any kind not even my money back for buying stamps. Those who say they are getting checks show the proof because it's been longer than stated that I would get a check in the mail. I keep checking my mailbox and nothing is there. Scam , maybe far as I'm concerned I haven't seen any proof of payment.

What is it that you think you see, that proves to you that I can't follow instructions, Deb?
Or are there some made up instructions, that no-one is capable of following?
That is your excuse for all of the folks here posting a comment or question.
You automatically say, "Well they can't follow instructions" or " They haven't tried the program, so how do they know!"  Just to feel you are right and everyone else is wrong!

Great job at copying and pasting images you found online, LOLOL. The fact is we do get paid, Ive never had a problem with MG. You're clearly a competitor on here trying to damage a good company's name. I, as well as a few others who have used it are posted on various threads here with nothing but positive comments. Nice try Killdare. Another fraud pretending to be a customer. gates pays me every week. If you really are a customer you clearly don't know how to read simple instructions. Your post already shows it in fact

Thank you killdare777 for those pics, i got the same forms a long time ago as have many other people who've been screwed over by this scam or almost bought into it. I knew right away that it spelled out scam immediately as soon as I started to read it. As for Debra, all you have left is empty insults which hurt no one but yourself. You have done a marvelous job of exposing this for the scam that it is and no one in their right mind once they read all of this will ever buy into the kool-aid you are obviouisly high on. So keep eating those noodles that you like because that's all you can afford to buy and keep enjoying those imaginary checks you see yourself getting. here's a little secret, and sorry to spoil it to you and rain on your parade but they don't exist, it's all in your head, so come back to reality or stay in fantasyland your choice. Bye for now.

Screw you Deb! Jump off your high horse for once in your damned life!
I would have to receive a check to begin with, in order to receive reimbursement for my postage.  It's now been six and a half weeks, and no check! If I refuse to pay MWGe any more money, because they are not paying me back anything in return. Than how do you figure (in your precious little head), it  justify's you to tell people that I'm an idiot? I still have  money instead of shelling it all out to MWGe for nothing! If I continued to order more of there gag work kits I'm sure my extra money would be gone, and I would be sitting around hopeing that some fake check was coming!  In fact I am glad to have found out how you "make" your money, and let all these people know that you and MWGe are full of s**t. And for your information, I followed all instructions to a tee. You are the idiot, who thinks that people are not as smart as you. Only because you are not
very smart! So how do you know when you are stupid? Us smart people have to tell you,  because your to idiotic to tell how stupid you are yourself. I hope you and MWGe are enjoying my $126.00!
And to all the consumers that help to better the country by buying things and stimulating the economy. This lady just called us all idiot consumers! I guess Debra doesn't even buy toilet paper to wipe her own a*s. Dirty Girl!! We all consume in some way. A clear display of her un professionalism, self indulgence and she may quite possibly be just another megalomaniac.
For shame Deb! Who made you the MWGe town crier? Pathetic, your words have no integrity, if you jump to insults and name calling so fast.
May all your wishes not come true!
America dose not need, any more vultures feeding on us! And as for MWGe I have sent a letter to attempt to get an update on my progress. And got no response. Welcome to reality!

At this point you are just embarrassing yourself but please keep entertaining me, please. So keep living in your fantasy world where "Gates checks are big" while the rest of us who can smell a rotten egg a mile away go about real life and making real money doing real, honest, hard work. Here's how it works.  I sent $99.00 to Maxwell Gates Ent. @ 88 E. Main St. Suite H, #433    Mendham, NJ. 07945.  For a box of 49 envelopes that were pre return addressed to maxwell gates    ent.  49 pre addressed adhesive mailing labels, to be afixed to the envelopes.  And 49 flyers to be    folded and stuffed in the envelopes provided.
The flyers were targeted at people who had shown interest in working at home, while taking    online surveys and such.  It offered work to people that would staple booklets together, for $20.00 a    booklet. To possably make $2,500.00 or more a week?
With this came a three page print out of my instructions.  It started out stateing that the    $10.00 an envelope "that someone responds to", would now reap me $20.00 an envelope!  It went on    to tell me that I was to write my special code on all the flyers I sent out.  So they would know where    to send my money.  And that I would only be paid for the flyers that people respond to, and pay
   there "$99.00 REFUNDABLE FEE".
I was to put the flyers in the envelopes, put the address labels on the envelopes.  And then I had  to    mail them.
But there was no postage sent with the materials?  So I read through the instructions to find    that, "to insure I was a serious worker".  I would need to buy postage for the first set of envelopes sent    out.  And to fill out a very short permission form at the end of the instructions. Then send my receipt for     the postage, and my form to Mw.G.E. That I would be reimburse for the postage , when reimbursed for    my initial investment.
They also offered for me to send them another $99.00 to staple booklets together for them.  That I would    make even more extra money!
   And that I could buy fresh names and addresses from them to send flyers to as well.  200 names @ $50.00/    500 names @ $99.00/  1,000 names @ $199.00/  2,000 names @ $375.00/ and 5,000 names @ $899.00!
To  just photo copy all the flyers I needed to, from one of the original flyers sent.  And that the more I mail    out the more I might make.
So I followed the instructions, paid another $25.00 for stamps, and sent out the 49 flyers, my form    and my receipt for postage.
Now it's been five weeks, and no check.
 Not suprising.
I was trying this because I had lost my job and needed to find any income to make my ends meet.
For anyone hoping to do the same, This is not a way!
So that's what they do to "make " money.  From the looks of it they get the initial amount of money    you give them to start.  Then they have you stuff envelopes, AND pay for there postage. To find more people    to send them more money and pay for there postage. To find more people to send them more money...,you    get the idea.
Thank you, busy people for your time.

you're right. I do love Ramen noodles, but because I use Gates' method, I can afford to buy an average of $900 a week MORE of it than if I were not using the program. I know what someone like you would say... "$900 a week, what good is that?". Yeah, right. My paycheck from Gates is posted in another thread. I use the program and proved it makes money as all of you asked, while YOU have NOTHING better to do than spend hours writing and thinking about somethiung you have never seen, never used. While you talk about "complaints", if you bothered to actually READ them, you'd see they are NOT from users of the method... no, theyre just like you. If I was shopping a program, the last thing I would do is listen to the opinions of someone who DOES NOT use it. Also, I think its fair to say, when a compnay has a million customers over 20 years and only about 40 complaints, their record is beyond perfect. It sets a whole new standard of excellence. Everybody should use Gates program in my honest opinion, but at the same time, I really dont care if you do.

Well today is Sat. and WOW, ROFL and LMFAO that's all I can say. I must have really pushed the right buttons because the only imbecile, moron , and idiot here is you continuously embarrassing yourself by resorting to name calling like a hurt little child. How pitiful for you and amusing to me that someone who claims to represent Gates's company is doing a bang up job of embarrassing yourself not to mention a "company" that so many sources have proved that they are nothing more than a total sham.

The latest complaint against this company was filed on July 25 2012. Also the fact that you totally jumped on this as soon as I left a reply further reinforces the fact that you are desperate to make them look good by rehashing the same "broken record" over and over when all you are doing is making yourself look like the a*s not me.You really need to stop telling me about how you eat ramen noodles and begging money from your relatives, living in a studio apt. but hey I totally understand, you after all claim to only make $660 a paycheck which I'm quite sure and convinced is what you make from your day job and not from a fake company such as gates who continually scams people.

You are probably working as a cashier somewhere and barely making it but hey it's nothing to be ashamed of, I was once there too before started my own company and made my way to true financial independence. You should really read what Robert from Buffalo said, he nails it perfectly and is not gullible to fall for scams like you. Even he recognized the photoshopped check. Well I spent enough time here, my family and i are about to leave for a fun filled day at the beach and some weekend traveling. have fun with your fake money and those ramen noodles.

The fact you mention the BBB shows what an IDIOT you are. Did you not see the expose on 20/20 uncovering the BBB as a fraud? Of course not, youre a typical American idiot consumer who thinks the BBB is legit. If a company with 1 million , like Gates, only has 40 complaints, that might be the greatest record in history! No major corporation has a record that good. Maybe you should have some clue as to what you're talking about before you make an a*s of yourself. Only one thing matters, they sell a program that promises to pay you weekly. I indeed GET a paycheck every single week, end of story. The fact you have no experience with this company but would spend that much time writing worthless crap about them shows you're as much an idiot as the other imbeciles on here. REAL SIMPLE... if you haven't used this program, shut your worthless mouth. I have never encountered a website of complete morons, idiots, who worry about pennies like you. I honestly do NOT want any of you to buy the program. I love the idea Im making money while you're eating Ramen noodles and begging your relatives for rent money.... absolutely LOVE IT

Debra for your info I'm not on an hourly rate because I own my own business. I get lump sums sent to my acct. via direct deposit and no you can't see a copy of my bank statement for reasons of Identity theft to say the least. $660 dollars? is that the best you can do for 10 hours? I made 3 times that much in less time than what it took you to make that much in 10 hours. LAME. Seriously, if that's all you can make at a time then by all means you are welcome to it. It's been almost a month since my last post as you can tell because I have been busy running a real business, not some "home cooked" scam that you keep preaching about.  As for your alias Marshall Mason (a.k.a. Debra C) I did my research thoroughly, it's a common practice when running a business, or did that slip past your mind. Where is this Triple A rating that you mentioned, certainly not on the BBB that's for sure. Next time try and make your lies a little more convincing than something so full of holes like a non existent rating that you made up. According to the BBB your so called company that gets so many praises and loyal customers has a "F" rating and has the following:
Advertising/Sales Issues 9
Delivery Issues 5
Guarantee/Warranty Issues 1
Problems with Product/Service 28.
Total of 43 complaints The most recent one was filed on 9/11/12.
Hows that for researching. Here's a piece of advice that I won't even charge you for because it sounds like you are going to need that $660 that you claimed to have made, anyways here it is, Stop embarrassing yourself while you are ahead,oh wait, too late. LOL.I think Robert from Buffalo said it best, another shill pipes in with nonsense.

any company that has over a million customers and only 40 complaints, all of which are resolved,

Really?  Over 1 million?  And NO ONE will scan and post a PAY STUB to prove their claims?  To date, all we've seen is a what appears to be a photoshopped check-not a pay stub.  You do know what a pay stub is don't you?  That's that silly paper that's usually attached to the paycheck your employer mails to you that has such pesky information as EARNINGS  YEAR TO DATE and deduction information.  Surely one who claims to get "paid every week" shouldn't have any trouble posting a PAY STUB!

Another shill pipes in with nonsense.

Steve, maybe you should do your homework before speaking. Gates won their legal issue. My opinion, any company that has over a million customers and only 40 complaints, all of which are resolved, gets a AAA+++ rating. On top of that, my check arrives without fail every week, so with that being the case, maybe you should start worrying about other matters, and leave an honest company like Maxwell Gates alone.

#23Consumer Comment

Tue, August 28, 2012

wow, is that the best you got my dear Debra, haha, you got to do better than that.So tell me some Chinese because you said you speak it like I own a business so I'm waiting to hear some. I don't get checks, I get my money sent via direct deposit to my bank acct because checks are going the way of the dinosaur and besides I have my money right away to use while you have to wait sometimes as much as a week to get your checks to clear. If you haven't noticed(which your pea sized dino- brain I'm guessing has missed) but many companies these days are doing away with checks and now require some form of direct deposit whether it be an acct. for a prepaid money card for those who do not have bank accts.,(which is rare)or, you guessed it a bank acct. What do you do in the meantime while waiting for your money? I know, it's trying to go toe to toe with me proving that you're legit while time and time again you are nothing more than just a broken record stating the same thing "Gates check are big" LOL.  I don't spend my time venting like you claim, I got much better things to do with my time like, oh I don't know, how about just coming back from a week long, beautiful vacation in Hawaii with my wife and kids. That's the difference between me and your so called business that you claim to run and is legit. I can step away from mine for days or even a week or 2 and still make money while you are constantly having to work at it to make yours if it is legit or even real at all. the only reason i check here from time to time is to see what entertaining comments you have to say this time and that takes about 10 maybe 15 min. to read and respond if i want to then I go about my business(figuratively and literal). If you have noticed I haven't tried to prove anything here while you continue to try to prove to me time and time again that you make a lot of money doing this and yet you are the one who has nothing to show for it but a fake photoshopped check. A check printer? well I can do that too if I wanted to make a fake check using photoshop, it's actually quite very easy to make the exact same check that you displayed and claim is real, PLEASE, LOL.you have yet to show me where all of these supposed people who are praising Gates are, oh wait they are in your delusional little world that's it. Anyways it's back to the real world for me and my business. you keep enjoying your fantasy life and keep entertaining, bye sweetheart LMAO!!!

P.S. I'm still not going to buy this fake piece of garbage and to anyone reading this besides dear old Debra(or her several aliases) this business will take your money and give you nothing to show for it. There are legit home businesses out there, this is not one of them. This "company" has been sued more than once for fraud, so take that into consideration.

We can all see just how busy you are with the "business" you claim to own. Everyone who owns a business spends their time venting about a company they have zero experience with, correct? What nonsense, you own a business like I speak Chinese. Its funny you call my paycheck fake, considering Ive never had an issue with them clearing. Of course the checks look like that, you never heard of a check printer? I thought you owned a business?? In fact, lets see your paycheck. Too embarrassed I guess being so small? There are a number of people on here PRAISING Gates, ALL of whom used the program like me. Daniel, Marshall etc. Only those with empty lives spend their time like you. Again, please do not buy this program. Knowing you have nothing, which is beyond evident at this point, is far too satisfying. By the way, I average over $60 an hour for the work I do, but hey, you make more than that, right?? Laughable loser, truly laughable

But don't you worry your little head, I have no intention of ever buying this program so you got your wish there. Besides I make more money with my own business that I own and have been successfully running for quite some time now than you will ever see in your so called little business there that you claim is so great and awsome but you can't even put up a decent argument(much less proof) to prove I'm wrong. So whose the moron here. Seems to be you.I could careless if Gates gave you $1000 as a bonus it's all BS to me since you can't back it up at all and your words are nothing but empty hot air. Anyone can fake a paystub like the one you posted, it's actually quite simple. You just got to know how to use Photoshop that's all, like me who's an expert at it.The only positive people who ever said anything good about this program is you and 3 other people which i have mentioned before and you all pretty much have said the same thing like clockwork. Ive used about ten different methods and only Maxwell Gates is honest so far. Its nice to get a steady paycheck in the mail when you werent getting one before, believe me

i received the packet in the mail offering mail stuffing job. just wanted to make sure that it wasn't a scam. there is alot of negative going around, and it seems like the ones that are set that it is a scam dont have enough gonads to try it. and the ones that have sucked it up and gave it a whirl...absolutely LOVE it. so if u have not sent money in and gave this program a try then shut up and move on with ur life. people get on this site cause they want the facts from people who have done what they are questioning, they have their own skepticism they dont need urs too! once again they are looking for FACTS...NOT UR OPINION!!

i am going to do more research on this and setting a little money aside each week to see if this works. no business starts up on its own for nothing so having to pay a little bit is normal. my dad did a at home business thing where he had to pay $400 to get started and he did well when he was doing it full time

Sure, one paychecks not enough right? Your type is never satisfied. Why not have every single person who ever made a paycheck post it for the public to see? Know what you'll say then? "Ok, but let me see MORE". What a dope. While youre too afraid to spend peanuts on a real opportunity, Im collecting a check every week. Ive always believed the general public was a bunch of mice... total cowards. You're too afraid to take the smallest step to improve your lives. You losers prove it with every comment you make about a program youve never even seen

Yes, I got the letter. Yes, 56 years of bumps and bruises have made me cynical and cautious. It seems clear that there are a few pros, yet a ton of negatives about this opprotunity, and I clearly know the difference between an opportunity and a wage.

A majority of the overall skepticism seems to come from the lack of important details of the opportunity in the offer letter. Obviously, there will be out of pocket expenses for the implementation of the program. On what? For what? Why? (there can be a positive answer to this).
Fair to ask just what is going to be involved, just like any other opprotunity you might consider.

You have mentioned that some have simply not read the info on their packet, or just did not understand it. Debra, I truly want to believe, help me.

So many things brought up in these posts do in fact scream scam, perhaps some additional detail upfront would ease a lot of troubled minds. Copy of the program outline? Some detail that is lacking from the offer? A real NAME of a real individual directly involved with the operation of the company? The sign off on the letter of "Sincerely, Program Manager, Maxwell Gates Enterprises" just appears to cap off the suspicious nature of the offer, once again the lack of credible information-who is in fact the program manager?

Debra, I truly want to believe, help me. If you are on the east coast, I would gladly travel to you for a glimpse of your sucessful operation. Reach me privately if you prefer. Olivephant at live dotcom.

I think you do!  Tell us Debra, where is "Capital Mailings" incorporated or registered as a business?  I can't find it on the NJ Secretary of State website.  Additionally, Maxwell Gates Inc. isn't listed on the Secretary of State website either.  Why is that?

However, Capital Enterprises Inc. IS the business (parent company) identified as the defendant in the DOW lawsuit. and is registered on the Secretary of State website.  Seems to me, that you are unwilling to correctly identify the company and its location.  Why is that Debra?

Tell us, what company doesn't have it's business address and telephone number pre-printed on its checks?

I guess it's only a coincidence that the same font is used for the Business information and the payee information.  I'm not buying into that for a minute.  This stuff envelopes nonsense has been around since The Great Depression.

I covered their account number for obvious reasons.

I think you covered more than that!  I think you covered YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS with "MAXWELL GATES INC"  and that cute "Honesty, Support, Opportunity"  Bwaaahaaaaahaaaahaaahahahaha!

Do you really think that ANY company whose name is Maxwell Gates Inc. (there is suppose to be a period after Inc) is going to spend the money to have checks per-printed with a STYLIZED letter C?  The only folks who would have checks made with a STYLIZED letter C are folks who have a name that begins with the letter C, such as YOU-CARLUCCI.  LMAO!

Additionally, I fined it suspicious that the name Maxwell Gates Inc is written with the SAME FONT as the payee, date, written dollar amount, and FOR information.  Coincidence?  I don't think so.  I suspect that you merely copied one of YOUR personal checks and substituted Maxwell Gates Inc for your per-printed name and address.

First, you couldn't figure out how to attach an image and now this pitiful attempt to back up your claims.  Next time you alter one of your checks, don't forget to lose the stylized C.

ROTFLMAO!

I am not saying it is or isn't a scam because I really don't know and I don't think people should down talk it unless they know for sure. If you have actually sent money in and gotten scammed than say that but don't just make assumptions because if it is not a scam, this business could really suffer for no reason and along with it the people that it helps. Thats just my opinion!!! As for the people who are just talking to be talking like the one who called them "Shills" that is just a very immature thing to say because a job is a job. Unfortunately we don't all have parents to take care of us for our entire lives or buy our way into top paying jobs so we have to do what we have to do to care for our families. Hi everyone and Debra,

I also received letters of business opportunity with MGE for mailing envelopes and booklets. I've held onto it for a few weeks because I want more information and proof that it legally works.

First of all, as usual, I notice a piece of information missing like a phone number..
Now I agree with most candidates that a real job does not cost a penny to do what you want. And one would most ultimately show integrity with complete logo and contact info.

But I also read the few others' positives. I, too, do not want to throw away my hard-earned money. If this TRULY works, not only do I find compliments but I have yet to see check stubs and materials; proof that the MGE is legitimate. (You don't have to show personal name and location where you reside at.)

I am a college student living solely and trying not to drop out with financial hardships.

Debra, Daniel, and other positives,
If you could be kind to attach pictures/docs through email and convince me well with bold confidence that I can do this, that would be great.

Tina W.

Ive suggested my friends and family use it, and if everyone is doing that, I can see how Maxwell Gates could need that time. They answer every question, pay on time, and live up to all of their claims. Relax, Im a user of it, and you will see your package shortly if you havent already. I ordered a second and a third for two relatives and those took less than two weeks to arrive. Theyre like any other business, sometimes busier than others. What matters is that they live up to their claims.

Hello, I just received a letter from Maxwell Gates offering me a job to get paid for mailing their/his "special letters" in RED print. Same as stuffing envelopes.

The first thing I looked for was a telephone number for this company. NONE, notta!! That was my first clue it was a scam. In the business world there is something called integrity. If you are a businessman or woman of any kind which I am by the way, your letterhead would include your business telephone number and most likely your cell phone number as well. Come one now, I am not about to send my hard earned money to any one without credentials that can not be substantiated. So please, come on.. those of you who have received checks from MGE, scan them and let us doubting Thomas' see the real deal we are missing out on. Otherwise, you know what Maxwell may be real -or could he be...So go ahead MGE please give us your telephone number.

Thanks, JoAnn

Either way, I guess the $99 package is a small price to pay (or risk to take) for a potential huge return.  "

So, if I promise you will make $10,000 a month by stuffing sausages at home (something that is also done for pennies by a machine), you think sending me a few hundred would be a small price to pay?

Wake up, genius!  $99 is $99 too much for an imaginary "huge return".    It is not logical that you could make any money by doing something at home that is routinely performed by machines.   You might compare it to a company offering you big bucks to manually type out the bills they send to their customers, rather than having a cheap computer print them out.

Application of a little common sense should tell you everything you need to know.

Keep calling us shills as we keep depositing our checks. MGE is a good company and never fails to send my checks. While youre on here whining thanks to having no life of any kind, Im making money while sitting in front of the TV. The loser in this matter is you friend ;)

Ive used this program for a year and get a check from the company regularly. People online love to comment about subjects they have zero knowledge of. My paychecks are real, how do you explain that? When you people start receiving payments I have a feeling you'll change your tune

this scam has been ongoing for decades

The Federal Trade Commission has this and many other work at home scams - how to spot and avoid.   Look under Consumer Protection

Most work at home offers are nothing but scams to steal your money - or pryamid schemes .
