Mayo Clinic - Rochester, MN Another VICTIM of surgeons in training - The Mayo Clinic Ruined My Life Rochester Minnesota
February 5, 2013 I underwent surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. The surgery was to make my life better. It did the exact opposite.
I have been left with permanent hearing and balance loss. These problems made it impossible for me to continue my job. I had to take early Social Security Retirement. I am going to lose over $250,000.00 of income.
I have contacted over 50 lawyers and they all say they will not take on the Mayo Clinic unless it is totally a slam dunk, like a surgical instrument left inside the patient.
Because of several oddities I believe the residents instead of Dr. Fredric B. Meyer did much of my surgery. Examples include inordinately large incision, dent in my skull where the bone was not replaced, and the complete permanent loss of hearing and the balance problems.
In all the responses I received from the Mayo clinic they simply don't care.
If you go there for surgery, make them put it in writing that the surgeon will do the surgery and the residents will be observers only.
