Mayrand Publishing false white page adds, deceptive marketing, scre tactics Ripoff Champlain Pennsylvania
I was contacted by phone by a person who wanted to confirm your yellow pages add and then ask about the white pages add. Since we had just completed a yellow pages add I listened to what she was asking. I thought his might be a tie in to our yello pages add but boy was I wrong.
The phone call info was confirmed later that day for INFORMATION ONLY. I then recived an invoice and a CD for their buisness guide. The CD did not work so I contacted the customer service number and spoke to a gentleman who said " it just takes some time for it to work" Try again in two weeks. I waited. I tried and it still did not work. I wrote that the CD did not work and sent it back asking to cancell the order. I got a response in two weeks from a lady who was adimant that I pay them for her services and that since we were allready added to the databank that there was no going back. I told her since the product did not work then I was not going to pay for it. She then wanted to only charge me 1/2 ($286.93) I said send a working CD and we will see. I got one in three weeks and again it did not work. I then was contacted about when I was going to pay. I was flabbergasted that they would want t me to pay for something that did not work. I then contacted the Better Buisness Bureau in New Your and filed a complaint. within 24 hrs I recived a fax with a cancelled invoice and a Cancellation form Julie Miller Director of their Customer Care Dept.
My advice is to run from these hoods!!
