MBF LEASING Rip off they use independent contractors who will tell you anything in order to lease there equipment New York, New York
I had a independent contractor come to my business swearing that he would get me sales because they had a way for me to let customers pay for the merchandise over a 90 day period and they would guarnteed that you receive your money. They was no contract and you could quit anytime you wanted too. Well I did it and I got screwed.
First of all I did not know I was leasing equipment. I already own a credit card machine so I didn't even need another one to do the program so I had two credit card machine with a check reader and it only cost $430 to purchase a check reader. I asked about buying the equipment outright and he said it would cost $4000.00 that was totally incorrect. I only Paid $800 for the nurit machine I still use today to do charge cards. This lease supposely cost me $6640.00.
If that is not being rip off when the equipment only cost $1200, why was the lease for so much more. I would never lease equipment especially if they would have told me how much it would have cost me. I was naive I believed the sale person and he bought the equipment to me when I had several customers in front of me and asked me to sign for the equipment well in reality I signed a leasing agreement which I didn't even read he then took the contract with him and I recieve it later in the mail.
Do not sign for anything without reading it. Do not trust any person who calls and says they can save you money on your credit card charges. If you have a trustworthy company stay with them. All of the people who call you about credit card machines are independent contractors and they are not hired by the companies they represent so if you have a problem with them you are told they do not work for that company so you are letting it hang out there.
Do not trust anyone that you haven't called yourself. Sales people in this business will tell you what ever you want to hear. If you do not understand a contract take it to a lawyer pay the $250 it will cost you for them to tell you what you are getting into. Never sign anything without reading it. I feel real stupid, I trusted this person word you can't do that anymore. I hired an attroney in Florida which did me no good. I hired another attroney in New York because this is were the contract had to be contested.
I still had to pay a chuck of change to get out of this plus what it cost me for attronrey. Never lease the credit card equipment pay for it by credit card or cash. It's not that expensive that way. Never lease it they charge way too much to lease. Call several companies before you choose a credit card carrier. Check on the companies and see what there record is. Another thing do not believe them verify everything first.
