We all dine at fast food restaurants, and we all want our food prepared the way it should be and never tampered with.

On Monday March 12,2007 my son and a couple of his friends wanted to go to the skate park in Dalton. They go to GCHS and they was out of school for an in service day. I took an early lunch went home and picked the boys up then took them back to the Skate Park. They asked me to pick them up at 7:00pm that evening. About 6:30pm I was off to pick the boys up.

After picking the boys up we were headed home in Gordon County, so we passed the McDonalds at the Carbondale Rd area. I let the boys know that I would buy them dinner because I knew they were hungry and asked would they like McDonalds and they agreed. I went thru the drive thru and I placed the order.

When the gentleman took the order he did not call the order back to me and it was not displayed on the screen so when I got to the window I asked him could he repeat the order. He repeated what he had and I let him know that it was correct. I paid for the meal with my credit card. We waited for some time, as it was taking longer than it should have. Upon getting the order another gentleman brought the bag to the window and the gentleman who took my order asked him to give it to me.

I pulled up to check and as my son took the first double cheeseburger out of the bag to see whose it was, it had been bitten off of. He said Mom this is disgusting. I grabbed the burger, put my car in park and blocked the traffic at the drive thru and got out and headed back to the drive thru door. The door was open at the drive thru, and I said to the gentleman that took my order How dare someone do this and give it to a customer. He said they gave me the bag and I gave it to you.

I requested a manger to come to the door. A lady came and I explained to her what had just happened. She asked for my receipt. As I went back to my SUV to find the receipt, the boys all looked at me and said we want eat that food it has tobacco dip/substance on it. I grabbed the 2 bags of food took back to the door and told the lady first I did not get my receipt and 2nd the other food had tobacco dip/substance on it. She was at the register trying to figure out what to do when I told her I put it only credit card. She said she did not know how to take it off. I then told her that no one should be working in an establishment after this incident.

Everyone back in the grill area needed to be fired. She never once apologized for what happened or even said she would get to the bottom of it. In the meantime, one of the boys was getting sick for what he just saw. My son told him to open the door and not to get sick in my SUV.

I let her know I was contacting McDonalds Corporate office and see what actions would be taken. McDonalds should be held accountable for there employees actions. It they thought this was a funny joke it wais not and they all should be in the unemployment line.

What if this was given in a kids meal and the parent did not check the food, and there child ate it. This is the most unexcused thing that could have happened at a fast food establishment. Everybody eats at McDonalds, but now we will never eat at this establishment again. If they did this to me, my son and his friends, what do you think they have done to others? This is so disgusting that McDonald's lets people that they have employed at this location tarnish there name.

I have contacted the Corporate Office of McDonalds, and I still have not heard back from anyone.

So beware of what this McDonalds is serving you when you stop by. This was a very HORRIBLE experince that I could have ever imagined from such a place.

Poorly Handled

#2UPDATE Employee

I would like to start bying saying, I've personally delt with something similar to this, meaning one morning in the middle of the breakfast rush, a customer had come in with bite out of their sandwhich. When you are dealing with poor employees, or untrained employees the chances of this happening aren't all that slim. This happens for one of two reasons, and either one should have been delt with in a different manner. Reason one, and i'm going to assume the most likely, is that the sandwhich was handed out to customer who then brought it back for not being what they order, in which case it should have been thrown away, nothing that goes out the window or over the counter can be handed out to a different customer for any reason. When this happened to me it was becuase a new employee placed the returned sandwhich back in the 'landing zone' (where all the sandwhich are kept hot before they are bagged) without relizing there was a bite missing or knowing that we can't take back food that has gone out. And reason two, i shudder to think, is that it was done intentionally. Either way the manager should have had the whole order remade under their supervision and a full refund issued. She wouldn't have been able to cancel the card transaction, but she could have given you a cash refund. As far as the tobacco on your food, that is something that should have resulted in the termination of everyone involved if it was intentional or untentional. Chewing on the floor is strictly prohibited and any manger that allows it to go on should be demoted back to crew. There is no excuss for you not recieving a full refund, and a freshly made order, or at the very least the offer to keep your name on file and given the whole order free at later date. Keep in mind that McDonalds are different everywhere, while a certain level of conformatiy is demanded from corparation, things like returns and replacements often detertmed by the owners and the managers may have no say in the matter. Often times i'm unable to fully help my customers they way i would like becuase of restrictions place on us by the owner. In cases like this, it is my suggestion to anyone that talk directly to the Store Manager, not just a swing manger, or if that fails find out if you need to complain to the owner/operator or corparation

too bad you didn't keep the evidence and take it straight to the police department and have them conduct the investigation for the manager. maybe that way they would have understood the severity of the situation. sorry your evening ended on such an ugly note.
