Bought a MCI WORLDCOM WIRELESS PHONE in April of 2001. Received my first bill after 2 phone calls in July 2001. I called immediately called again because it was only for 60.00. I sat on hold for 30 minutes and then my call was picked up and disconnected. I heard the rep on the line hang up on me. I called back and sat on hold for another 22 minutes and still no pick up. I tried again over the weekend and finally reached a live body.
I had been using the phone for 4 months and the advertisement stated that I had to pay $60 down plus the first 2 months. The lady I spoke with stated that $60.00 was all I owed. I took her word and sent in the $60.00. Every month after I sent in the $30.00 per month charge. Then in November 2001 I received a statement about billing problems and that I owed $299.94!@!@!@! What the heck.
This through me for a big loop. When I asked them to send a statement for the last 6 months they denied my request. SO NOW I'M STUCK with A CRAPPY CELL PHONE THAT HAS BEEN SHUT OFF and THEY ARE STILL BILLING ME. WHAT A RIP OFF.!!I@O#O
