I asked where the bathroom and they said I needed to go onstage and ask for permission to go. And they continued to insist even when I made it clear that I was uncomfortable.

ROFL - the people who brought you there should have explained to you that it is an interactive performance. Most other restaurants will let you know where a bathroom is without too much difficulty. However, you chose to go to one which advertises itself as being an interactive dinner theater. I'm sure you don't have to participate if you don't wish too, however, you should be prepared for an experience different from a typical restaurant. How precisely do you feel that you were ripped off? If anything, the folks running the show should file a ripoff report on yourself, since you failed to comply with acceptable business standards in that situation.
