Jennifer, thank you for sharing your experience. I learned about Melaleuca from a local person (not a trusted friend, but face-to-face). I have spoken with M.O.M Team reps before, but don't remeber the details. What I would like many people on this site to understand is any MLM-derived system is absolutely going to attract greedy and unscrupulous people (NOTE: This does not necessarily mean the MOM Team!). There are also those who "skim" for people wanting to jump on money-making, and skip others, which might be rude, but is more efficient for those reps. I have been a happy customer of Melaleuca for almost a year; I have returned items, even empty containers, for full refunds every time, and I have several friends who have cancelled their membership with no problems. I have had products accidentally left out of shipments (any company shipping to over 1 million households each month is not going to be perfect), but they have always sent them expidited at no charge. In fact, once one box (of two) was left on the UPS truck. I called Melaleuca to see if they knew why it all wasn't sent, and the C.S. rep said they couldn't find the tracking info, so they sent me a complete replacement box. Then, when the original was delivered the next day, I called them back to ask what to do now. Melaleuca sent me a return shipping label, paying for UPS's mistake so I didn't have to. They have earned my loyalty for a very long time. BUYER BEWARE: many MLMs have independent marketing systems with different requirements from the companies they represent. Be comfortable with anyone who is supposed to help you. Melaleuca is designed to have customers order direct from the company instead of "distributors", but of course some people would rather purchase, ship or deliver, collect, and handle returns.
