Menomin Meadow Morgan Horse Farm "Mitch" Michaud "farm manager' starving horses, taking money for services not provided, misrepresenting horses for sale Lebanon, Maine
Mitch at Menomin Meadow Morgans is a 'used car salesman'. He is a shyster that will say anything and lie to get your money. Rather than a long narrative I will list the issues:
1. Takes in horses for boarding and promises services that are never given and these services are paid for. Has taken large sums of money to care for full board horses and horses were VERY thin with ribs, spines and hip bones visible. Leased several horses and returned them emaciated and in ill health.
2. Does not feed and water all horses all the time. If mad at a boarder will NOT feed/water/care for their horse(s)!!! Same with the horses bred on the farm if mad at that horse.
3. Lack of care includes no regular cleaning of stalls and paddocks.
4. Other farm animals died and left where they died for days, even months.
5. When selling horses Mitch is NOT honest about training and suitibility of horse. Sold a 'beginner' horse that would bolt and NOT stop!
6. Now claiming to train with "Natural Horsemanship" and has no clue. Has no training in natural horsemanship methods- is just lying trying to cash in on a popular training method!
7. Local ACO and State of Maine Animal Welfare have been called and visited multiple times with many problems observed. The only reason Menomin is still open is Maine's horrible animal welfare laws.

Mich Michaud is a fraud. He will take your money and NOT provide the services promised including feeding your horse! He is NOT a natural horsemanship trainer like the web site says and misrepresents horses for sale. Rather than a long letter I will list the issues;

Does not feed and water horses all the time. If he is mad at a boarder he will not feed and water their horse. If he is mad at one of the farms horses he will not give them food or water.<br>

Stalls and paddocks are not cleaned regularly.<br>

If you pay for extra services like stall cleaning, training and turn out it does not get done (but he still takes your money!).<br>

Other farm animals die and left where they died for days and even weeks.<br>

Claims to train using natural horsemanship methods- he has zero experience in this and is flat out lying.<br>

Has leased horses for breeding and sent them back to their owners starved and skinny with ribs, hips and spine showing.<br>

Local animal control and State of Maine Animal Welfare have been called many times and the farm has received warnings. The ONLY reason farm is not closed is horrible animal welfare laws in Maine.<br>

Does not pay his workers! Gets in working students and verbally abuses them, withholds food, does not pay them, traps them on the property, works them 12-16 hours a day for next to no money at all.<br>

The barn with the indoor arena is a fire hazard with un-inspected wiring and extension cords running all over the place.

Do NOT board your horse there or send them for training, I guarantee you will NOT get what you paid for! Do NOT go there as a working student- it is a sham for him to get slave labor!
