Merchandise Direct Excessively Overcharged. No bill enclosed. Toronto Ontario
After seeing a TV commercial I phoned the 1-866 line to order some bags to keep fruit/veg fresh. The bags were $14.95 for 10 med & 10 large. I placed an order for 20 med & 20 large bags, which should have been $29.90 + S & H.
I did not at any time speak to an actual person, questions were asked by a remote voice over the phone. e.g. How many sets do you require? Please say the number, and then onto the next question.
The bags arrived as ordered - No Bill Enclosed. When my credit card statement came I had been charged $74.35 for the bags. No address enclosed, no invoice or breakdown of the order.
It is an absolute ripoff.
