PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not do business with Merchant Lynx Services!! They are completely deceptive in their business practices. Their salespeople are told to "close the deal" at any cost in a boiler room sales environment. They will provide a free analysis of your credit card charges and show you what they will save you. What they are not telling you is that they are running your numbers at a qualified rate...when in actuality you will only do about 10% qualified transactions. They also don't mention their immediate annual fee, insurance fee, supplis fee and application fee. You will end up paying far more using this company. They will also obligate you to a 48 month lease which they conveniently hide in fine print on their application. Try and call any local office....only fax number is listed. All other calls are directed to their 1-866 number which nobody EVER answers....great customer service. If you don't believe this is true take a look at their BBB reports, awful. Merchant Lynx Services will put you out of business...at which point you will still be paying them!! STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!

I left Merchant Lynx Services approximately 4 years ago. You were 100% correct when you stated that they only quote you on your qualified accounts and debit card processing.  When I first started the business I truly thought I was helping people and I felt good about that.  I made a ton of money but I was new to the industry and only knew what MLS taught me.  After a year of working with them, like any smart businessman, I started looking at how to open my own merchant service company.  When I started researching the industry and learning what this business was truly about. I was DISGUSTED! I felt so bad for what I was doing that I quit.  I did start my own company and am doing it the right way.  Pricing the proposals with all Qual, Mid and Non Qualified rates.  I have owned my own company for 4 years now and have leased 1 piece of equipment, 20 dollars a month for 24 months, simply because the machine was not in the owners budget.  That piece of equipment cost 370 dollars so there was minimal markup.  I charge 50 dollars over my cost to make a little bit of money on terminals.  A reliable merchant service company wants your business for a long term business relationship.  I am a small company less than a thousand merchants but over four years I have lost 1 merchant due to closing the business.  I as the President, personally call all of our merchants every 2-3 months to make sure they are doing well, see if they need anything.  You wont get that from 95% of your merchant service companies.

As to the ISO MSP response, if you do your homework, ISO MSP get charged the same rates as all the other providers AND acquirers.  Visa/MC/Disc have what is called interchange rates.  It doesnt matter if it is Chase, 5/3, Bank of America or our company, we are all on the same rate plan.  It is what the company is charging the merchant over interchange that makes the difference.  You can call our customer service 24 hrs a day we had an average hold time of 30 seconds lat year.  So all in all do business with someone that you have done your homework on, READ the agreements before you sign them and if someone rushes your to sign, there is a reason for it.  MLS wanted a one stop close.

I hope this helps
