Merchant Referral Solutions, misrepresented bait-and-switch using several "agents" who play good agent bad agent - unscrupulous Phoenix, Arizona
MerchantReferralSolutions conned money out of me 2 days ago and will not cancel the charges. Here's a rundown of some of their misrepresentations and schemes:
1. The price of their "training" (which I never received) was $299.99 - using the penny off ploy to make it sound cheaper than $300
2. They then added on a monthly $19.95 fee
3. In the high pressure sales pitch to get my credit card number the guy said he was investing $250 of his own money on me - baloney.
4. A secondary sales person calls up requiring my credit rating, occupation, income, etc.
5. Secondary person reveals for the first time that I have to PAY to advertise through them - several thousand dollars per year! Essentially, you wind up cold calling businesses to purchase merchant credit cards
6. They pause on the phone after any question they have no answer for then say something like "well in a nutshell that explains it.." without explaining anything. It's all double-talk.
7. The guy said with 1 to 5 hours per week, the typical person makes 2 thousand a month. That comes out to be a MINIMUM of $90 per hour! What a LIE!
8. At the time I authorized the payment of $299.99, I was told that I could get a refund. Two days later, that story has CHANGED.. NO REFUNDS! Even though they didn't provide any services and misrepresented themselves!
9. They claim 50 years of finance management, which means that the combined experience of the staff is 50 years - but THIS business has only been operating for 8 months - and since they got 62 BBB complaints in that short amount of time and an "F" rating, I shudder to think what happened at their PREVIOUS businesses. I will be in Surprise, Arizona next month, which is about 20 miles Northwest of Phoenix. Maybe I should have a "surprise" visit to see this lovely suite nestled between the palm trees and a lovely fountain. Maybe I could take Wesley Whitfield to lunch at Donovan's Steakhouse with their landlord Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation of Carrollton, Texas.
