I used to work for Messick Computers. I was an office manager. The owner of the company runs ebay auctions, repairs broken machines, and also builds new systems. If you go to his location, you will see just how unorganized he is.

While it has been well over a year since I have worked for him (thank goodness), his practices lack a general sense of organization. This lack of organization generally makes for the customer getting screwed over. For instance, many customers would prepay for a new computer to be built for them. His prices weren't high, but the wait for the end product was considerably longer than necessary.

Generally, he would have to wait for another customer to purchase a new computer and prepay for it before he could buy the parts for the original customer, because he had used the funds for other reasons. If something went wrong with the computer, generally because the computer was built by a high-schooler as an after school job, he would charge clients for it. Generally, he attempted to claim it was their fault instead of accepting liability for this issue.

Another for example are his ebay practices. One case in particular sticks out in my mind because it was left to me to do deal with the angry customer when it was not my responsibility. If this gentleman ever reads this, then I hope he accepts my sincerest apologies - I didn't realize what I had done.

A gentleman purchased a used printer on ebay from us. The ebay auction included that if it were DOA (dead on arrival) then we would replace it. We didn't. The only reason he got his money back after 2 months, was because he contacted the store when I wasn't there. It was my job to tell this gentleman that we were not giving him a refund. However, when he actually talked to the owner, a refund was immediately given. Lucky for the gentleman, he could leave negative feedback on eBay to warn others.

I would warn to stay far away. There are other means of getting computer parts cheap. There are other means of getting computers. There are tons of other eBay sellers!

Sorry, misspelled ridiculous. See, we admit when we make mistakes. I believe the person filing this report was a former employee that I recognize by what is in the report. It is important to know both sides of a story. This former employee began not showing up for work. With each absence the excuses escalated, from being sick, next a sibling was injured in a car accident and she might not make it, to finally the former employee claimed to being stalked by someone. After the sibling called in and said, what accident? well you get the picture. This former employee was always paid. I don't recall any complaints. Plus, this report was filed in 2004, five years ago! I don't know why now it is showing up on a Google search (I'm checking into that). I also think this website should make rebuttals as visible as the complaint. You have to scroll down the page a ways to really notice a rebuttal. Please make a suggestion to this website about this. Plus it would be helpful if the rebuttal shows up on search engines as well! Thank you.
