Metro Rewards & Trust Winning Final Notification Toronto Ontario
It looks like these scam artists have moved to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
My wife recieved a letter from Metro Rewards & Trust of 1000 Yonge Street, Toronto Ontario Canada M5G 2N7 which included a check for $4,875.00(U.S.) claiming to be part of a lotto drawing winnings of $125,000(U.S.). The check is from Metro Rewards & Trust, 7 Penn Plaza, Ste.900, New York, NY 1001 (notice the incomplete zip code). The check appears to be drawn on Key Bank N.A. Cleveland, OH. Our Check number is 9230, dated 11/13/2008.
In the body of the letter is our claim number CA-209-KB1.
She is instructed to deposit this check and then contact Claims/Disbursement Manager Mr. Robert Lawson at his direct office line: 1-416-823-7170.
The check looks legitimate and we believed it to be an answer to our prayers at first. My wife and I have adopted 3 special needs children and in the past year both she and I have had 3 serious surgeries each. I have been unable to work for over a year and the finances are extremely tight.
I have never truely hated anyone before, but the hope fading from the eyes of wife as it became a hoax was heartbreaking. I just wish someone will be able to lock these people away for life.
