A couple of months ago i signed up for metro pcs cellular phone service an the top tier unlimited plan. this plan includes so called "true unlimited 4G LTE data without throttling". For the first month thats exactly what i got. My phone always showed blue arrows with 4G displayed in the upper right hand corner of the display. My Speedtest.net app always registered between 12 and 25 mbps. (Authentic 4GLTE data speeds) I experienced almost no buffering or lag when streaming or gaming. I could not have been more pleased with the service i recieved.                                              

Just after the end of my first billing cycle that all changed. My phone now displays EV in grey in the upper right hand corner when streaming. there is constant buffering for several minutes at a time. it only displays 4G when idling and even then it only registers 0.4 to 0.9 mbps. This means that my data is deffinately being throttled down by a ridiculously high margin of over 90 percent! Some very mild throttling is to be expected at the lower tier plans but im paying for the highest tier because it guarantees absolutely no throttling. while most wireless carriers do throttle down extremely high data users its usually between 5 and 10 percent and they are honest about it. this is not a matter of hardware or maliscious software i have had my phone refreshed, checked and reprogrammed. by metro pcs both remotely and in store. I could fix this by rooting my phone or switching to another carrier but both would void my warrantee and insurance which i pay for every month. all i want is exactly what i pay for or every penny back. i dont think thats too much to ask
