On or before July 3rd, 2015, Steve Christian and I had made an agreement that if I could produce full packaged mortgage referrals including all stipulations in stacking order, that he would pay me a referral fee of $1000 per full packaged referrals.  He also claimed that he was the Branch Manager at Metropolitan Home Mortgage Inc.  I've come to learn that Steve Christian was not the owner of the previous company that he worked for but claimed to me he was.  Steve Christian managed to rip me off for $2000.00 on two loans that closed in July.  One closed July 20th and the other closed on July 31st.  I have multiple emails from Metropolitan Mortgage to support my statements and facts mentioned above.  I feel it is my duty to share with the public. Beware and do not do business with this person as you may end up getting ripped off just like I was.  In closing. to make sure there is absolutley no mistaking identity, Steve Christian is also a licensed Real Estate Agent, Loan Officer and has had ties with Tri Emerald Mortgage Lending, 6 Degrees Company, American Financial Network and PMAC.

Response to Chris Munoz of CBM Financial Services False Accusations

These statements and accusations are completely untrue.  I never discussed, agreed or offered Chris Munoz or CBM Financial service any money in trade for loans he was going to be referring, nor is he licensed to receive a fee for said loans.  He called out of the blue after learning I was a Branch Manager for a Mortgage company and asked if we could help his mother-in-law with financing on her purchase in Nevada.  I asked around and found that we did in fact have a license in that state and referred the loan to a Loan Originator who was also licensed.  At no time was any monetary exchange to Chis discussed.

During this transaction he came across another friend of his who also wanted financing in Califonia.  I referred that transaction to one of my loan originators in my branch who also facilitated the loan for his friend and again no monetary payment was discussed, in writing or otherwise.

Chris is my wife's former in-law and for this reason we went over and above for his referrals.  The 2 loans we did for his friend and family members were very small loans and it would be obscured for anyone, even if it were legal, to pay $1,000 per loan As a referral. It has never been my policy nor the policy of the company to pay referrals to non-licensed individuls, especially for loans.

Chris started demanding money after these loans had funded and used this forum to intimidate me to pay him money I legally can't pay.  We gave his fiends and family great service and even coved costs over and above to ensure they got a great deal.  What it sounds like to me is that Chris would have rather we over charged so he could profit on his own family and friends illegally.

I have been in business for 30 years and have never had a complaint nor will you see another negative posting about me on this forum.  I work hard to ensure fair and honest Real Estate and Lending practices which was instilled in me by my mentor and mother, who was also a very successful Real Estate Broker with an outstanding reputation as being honest and fair.  I am sorry Chris Munoz feels he was ripped off, had he told me his expectation up font I would have said no and let him take his business elsewhere.
