Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Deborah Longwill is not an MD. She calls herself a Dermatologist-first lie. She charged me 1,000 for a procedure and told me to come back in 2 weeks to "fix" any problems. I paid the 1,000.  Well this liar did not tell me she was going to charge me 300.00 to "fix" her mistakes! She had 3 assistants running around and in her office with laptops, it was basically for show. There was no communication with me until I left and was asked for 300.00 more! In my initial appointment she read pamphlets, and could not answer my questions. I had to push in order to get a word out of her mouth. The second time I knew not to speak or be frustrated into silence. Very rude and seemingly ignorant of medical information she should be sharing with her patient. She did talk to her assistants as if I wasn't there, but it was about making more money by luring more patients in.

She now has an attorney after me for the 300.00 and eventhough I am disputing the charges, they are charging me daily interst. I'm now up to 500.00 on something I never authorized.

This woman Deborah Longwill is a greed monger and liar from hell. She is inept and has a bad reputation from blogs I've read for complicating real medical issues. She is notorious for being rude and non-communicative. I feel its because she is not knowledgeable.

apology and retracton against D. Longwill

In my apology to Dr Longwill I have asked Ripoff Report to remove my reports. I have not been accomidated by this request. Dr Longwill is a well respected Dr of 24 years. My actions claiming to report her were based on further charges from her I felt were unfair. I was confused by the difference between a DO and an MD. I was happy with the end results of my second visit. There was a terrible mis-communication, that I deeply regret. I extend my sincerest apoligies.

I was mistaken about Dr. Longwill's qualifacations.I was confused about the difference between an MD/DO   DR Longwill is fully qualified to run her medical clinic, She is Board Certified in Dermatology by The American Osteopathic Board of  Dermatology. She is a well respected Doctor with 24 years of experience.

I deeply regret any disrespect this has caused her and my actions were based on emotions and misguided efforts to thwart a payment I felt I did not owe.  I am in the process of paying this fee. I am deeply sorry for the mis-communication of the amount I owed to Dr. Longwill. I was very happy with the final result of her treatment.

I have made numerous attempts to remove reports about DR. Longwill, however , They won't let me. I will keep trying but Rip Off Report is refusing me to do remove the reports.

Again my sincerest apologies to Debora Longwill.

A quick  response to the attacks against Dr. Longwill. For all of you reading the comments against her, just look at the allegation that the office would only accept a charge of $1000 on the patient's  credit card.  Ridiculous !!

Bottome Line:   Obviously this  accusataion invalidates any other assaults against Dr. Longwill.

The doctor is an Excellent dermatologist who has helped me more that any previous doctors....

I was mistaken in my initial report.  Dr Longwill is not affiliated with the University of Miami but rather is an  Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Nova Southeastern University.  She trained a Mt Sinai and Jackson Memorial Hospitals under Dr. Bernard Nusbaum, MD and at Miami Childrem's Hospital.  On my initial visit to Dr Longwill she discovered a pre melanoma mole that had been missed by my two prior MD dermatologists.  She save me from a major skin cancer problem for which I will be forever grateful.  All this quibbling about the difference between a D.O. and M.D. simply shows the ignorance of the individual who made the initial report.

Deborah Longwill is not a Dermatologist which requires a higher scale of medical study and knowledge, yet flaunts herself as a "Cosmetic Dermatologist". No such term exists officially unless you are an MD, which she is not. She is a DO and went to a one star medical college. She is a master of smoke and mirrors and manipulating her credentials. I came to her for  botox and filler and a growth I was concerned about because I thought she was a Dermatologist.  She totally ignored my questions about the growth because she is not an MD and can only treat superficial or cosmetic procedures. Insurance does not cover most of what she does. I knew I would have to pay for any cosmetic procedure (which I did) but the next part of the story is where her integrity unravels. I paid over $1,000 for a procedure a board certified surgeon does for me for $600.00.  She told me to return in two weeks to "fix" anything because things "settle". I did return, not because I was so "pleased" but because she did not finish the job. She lured me back and then charged me $300.00 with no mention of payment until I was walking out the door.  I offered them a credit card, but was told they would not accept it unless there was a minimum of $1,000 charged. I also said it was unethical to charge me for something I was led to believe I already paid for. I also questioned the high cost and the fact I was lured back to the office in such a deceptive way. The woman became rude and uninterested in anything more I had to say and I left.  I had numerous harrasing calls, even at my husbands job! At the initial visit, along with the procedure, Longwill baited me into buying $200.00 of her products which I ended up throwing out. Her office is filled with unhappy patients who looked very uncomfortable Despite the pretty fountains.

In her rebuttle, Longwill states she was forced to get an attorney, however, her collection agency is a call center under an attorneys name. I just received another letter from the same attorney that was being used for collection before I ever reported her scam. I've had numerous correspondence with this attorneys 'team'. Florida has a statute specifically prohibiting unfair and deceptive trade practices. Also, when a person pays  for a service, the person providing the service has an obligation to do it correctly for the agreed price. Longwill claims I wrote to rip-off to discredit her and get out of paying for something I never authorized.  Truth is, I wanted to expose her for what she did to me so it will help others. I'm not so disturbed by her medical degree or lack thereof, or her rude behavior and lack of medical knowledge, I am disturbed by the way she ripped me off.

Longwill reminds me of a car mechanic I once had. He fixed it, it broke, and/or something else broke.

The above "review" has been brought to my attention and I have no choice but to respond. I have been licensed to practice Dermatology in Florida since 1989. I am Board Certified in Dermatology by the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners and am a Trustee of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association. This patient came to my office on December 9th 2010 for a filler treatment and in addition she received 20cc of botox. Her insurance companny did not cover the procedure and she paid the fee. She returned several weeks later and was very pleased with the results.

She was so pleased she asked for an additional 20cc of botox, which is a completly seperate procedure from what was covered in her initial visit. Botox treatments are billed by the unit and the charge for the additional units was $300.00. Upon leaving she claimed to have left her credit cards at home, so she signed a financial contract and promised to call back with her credit card information.

Numerous phone calls and invoices were ignorned and eventually her account was sent to collection as per the financial contract she signed. She has never paid the $300.00 and in July 2013 (two and a half years after her treatments) she filled this totally false and malicious "review" as an effort to intimidate us into dropping our attempts to collect the fees we are due. In truth, all she had to do was to call our office and she could have arranged any payment schedule she wished. Now this situation has risen to the level of a malicious attack on my integrity and has been turned over to my attorney.

I am a client of Dr. Longwill.  Yes, Dr. Longwil... she is a doctor.  She is a Doctor of Osetopathic Medicine.  Here is a wikipedia link to the defintiion: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_of_Osteopathic_Medicine

I have received nothing but excellent care from Dr. Longwill. I have referred a number of people to her, and all of them have been happy clients.  Medicine is not an exact science, and it is unfortunate that many do not understand that.

Dr. Longwill has a great reputation in the community and to think what you say about Dr. Longwill- primarily about money: "greed monger" and "liar from hell"- might have an impact on that is very unfortunate.

For those of you who read the reviews/reports on the website, please note that not all of Dr. Longwill's clients feel this way, and if you decide to not be her patient because of this extreme, bitter statement, then you are missing out on an excellent dermatologist.

I would like to stongly disagree with the negative comments made against Dr. Longwill.

She is extremely courteous and professional..... I had numerous age spots removed from my face

and was very pleased with the results.... Her price was reasonable and I would consider her

the best dermatrologist I have ever been to.

Stating that Dr Longwill is not a Dermatologist is absurd

I am a retired Nurse Practicioner and a long time patient of The Center for Dermatology and Dr. Deborah Longwill.  Dr Longwill is a D. O. not an MD, but she is most definitely a physician lisenced to practice in the state of Florida.  She is Board Certified in Dermatology and an Associate Professor in Dermatoplogy at The University of Miami Medical School and Florida International University.  She has lectured on Dermatology to medical groups and seminars throughout Florida and in other states.  Her diagnostic and surgical skills are supurb and I have worked with physicians and hospitals for over 30 years.  Referring to her as a liar or scam artist is simply absurd and slanderous.  It is disturbing that comments as obviously untrue as those would even be publishied without being checked.

Deborah Longwill claiming to be a Dermatologist is part of her scam. She is not an M.D.. She violates Florida's fair and deceptive business practices. She entices people to return for services and then charges them, while flaunting herself as an M.D.
