I bought a $200 Michael Kors purse while on vacation in Florida at the Miromar Outlet store. The salesman told me it was a great investment, it would last me for years. I brought it home to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, used it for less than two weeks and the stitching on the straps were becoming unstitched. All four handles were ready to detach.

I called a few stores in Toronto to see if they could get it fixed for me. I didn't even want a refund at this point. They told me where to go to fix it, I would have to pay.

Next, I called head office, they told me I could send it in, pay for shipping myself, and they would send me a new one but if it broke again there was nothing I could do.

Finally I called a store in the states that said they would make an exeption and refund my money but I had to drive all the way down there. When I got there they told that everyone who buys this bag has the same problem. They also told me they keep getting more of the same bag that keeps breaking shipped in to be sold. Why not take it off the shelves if it's defective? Why not easily refund a customers money if this specific bag is known to be defective?

I finally wrote an email to customer service telling them how dissatisfied I was with their service and the way they handled my problem. I never heard back from them. Shows you how much they value their customers. Being in customer service for so long and being put through hell to get help with a product issue like this is ridiculous.

Never will I buy from Michael Kors and I will definitely try and sway friends from shopping there.
