Clearly this person is leaving out something here. Dr. Schooling has never advocated vegetarianism to me or any of my family members. He has always been totally professional and actually listens to his patients and knows who they are by name not a number. This patient is probably either obese or a smoker and will not listen to reason. Dr Schooling is a great doctor and we will miss him until he returns from Kazykstan where he is helping the less fortunate.

First, I have to ask: When did your doctor discriminate against you, due to obesity? That was no where in your post.
This WAS NOT the correct forum to whine about your doctor telling you things that you really dont want to hear. If you are heavyset, obese, or morbidly obese, It is the doctor's DUTY to tell you that you are fat...Even when you dont want to hear it. It doesn't make him a bad, or discriminating doctor..It makes him frank, and honest. You may not be able to deal with an honest, forthright opinion about your health, so you were embarrassed enough, and mad enough to post a bunch of opinions with no evidence in this forum!.
A doctor can also tell a patient that they do not feel that the patients symptoms warrant Social Security, Disabilty benefits. It is up to the doctor to fill out those disability forms, and if he thinks that your obesity, or Whatever you have, is NOT going to stand in your way of working a part, or full time job. He is required BY LAW, and PER his/her HIPPOCRATIC OATH, to give an honest, unbiased opinion regarding your supposed disabilty, or condition. THIS IS NOT DISCRIMINATION.
...What this post sounds like, is that you went to a doctor, with complaints of fatigue, pain, or whatever. He told you to try a veggie diet, to lose 50(Or More) pounds, because you were obese. Then he said that he would not sign your SSI Dpaperwork, because he felt that physical, or occupational therapy options, would help get you back to work. I'll bet he told you to try and lose weight, go on a veggie diet, to sustain high supplement/nutrient values...
If you cannot take constructive critisism about your eating habits, your weight, or any other conditions that you have, you shouldn't be going to see a doctor... instead, you might want to take the doctors advice, and do what he tells you to do, or see a psychiatrist about your PAINFUL LACK of self esteem.
Posting a RipOff Report on a doctor is going to get you nothing but trouble, unless you have concrete proof that he ripped you off in some way. Grow Up. Take responsibility for your self...and your health!

Dr. Schooling is my family doctor, and the ripoff report here does not coincide with my experience. He has never mentioned anything to me about being vegetarian. In my experience, Dr. Schooling has been thorough, comprehensive, and taken adequate time with me. I chose Dr. Schooling after asking several other doctors in town who they would recommend, and he was mentioned by every person I asked.
The person who filed the ripoff report is in Antioch, which is about 3.5 hours from Chico. I wonder if she is talking about the same Dr. Schooling.
