Michelle Dumser Wedding Photography Ripoff Took Money And Disappeared Destrehan Louisiana
I decided to get married in late November of 2004. The wedding was scheduled for December 23, 2004 and with such short notice and the proximity to Christmas I had a tough time finding a photographer.
I searched the web and found a website for Michelle Dumser at www.artphotomd.com. I contacted Michelle and she agreed to do the wedding. I paid her $595.00 in full before the date of the wedding.
Michelle Dumser attended the wedding and took the photographs requested. About 3 weeks later I received a proof book with horrible pictures. Disreguarding the quality of the photos I contacted Michelle a couple of months later only to have her never return my calls but she did change her voice mail to a nasty message.
She said if any bride was married before the 1st of January you would have to wait until after September 2005 to get your pictures but to mail the request. I continued to call the four different numbers I have for her so I could have the address of where to send the photos only to have all but one of the numbers disconnected. Her websited was also no longer available.
I went ahead and sent the request to the only address I had listed. I have never heard anything from her again.

In response to your complaint. I am the owner of the business Art photography by Michelle Dumser.
Due to hurricane Katrina i lost half of my equipment and had to close my business at that time of August 2005. I no longer had a location to operate from therefor i had no choice but to close my business at that time. Due to the re-location from Destrehan La. to Slidell La. We all lost our homes and businesses from hurricane Katrina.
If you are a client who did not get to order your remainder package of 8x10 enlargement copy's of your proof book you have already received.

We my family and i are reopening the business booking appointments as of December 1st. 2010.
I did not run and hide from anyone i had to get another job and buy a new home to rebuild my own life. I am sorry for your loss but i will honor any package that you had purchased at the time of your event.
Please feel free to contact me if you can prove that you did not receive your remainder packages. All negatives were stored in plastic containers to protect their re/production.
I made sure that they would not get destroyed in the event of a disaster.

hello and i'm sorry to hear about what michelle dumser did to you..she is now living in florida operating under the name michelle powell.her number is 850-602-3434,www.artisticphotographybymichelle.com...she calls herself the light master and tells everyone that she is a master photographer here...NOT!
