1. The county does not serve eviction notices when there are back taxes. 2. The back taxes on this building were paid and in no way put the tenants in jeopardy. The building was never lost for taxes. 3. Inspections on rental building are done in many cases on a yearly basis and follow up is done to make sure the repairs are completed. 4. We employ a rental manager. She gives everyone a copy of their lease when they sign it. She always will make a copy of the lease upon request. However, the tenant must pick it up. 5. Any building can have bugs of all kinds brought in when tenants move in. They must be treated with poison to kill them. An exterminator recommended the roach killer and it was safe for humans. The housing inspector is not an exterminator. 6. The building was not taken back June 2001. Why would the County not know what they are going to do with the building. The County knows exactly what they do with buildings they get back. They sell them. 7. The garage area is locked and is strictly for owner storage. The tenants should absolutely never be in the garage area. 8. The building roof was in good condition and never leaked into the apartments. The garage roof was the only roof in need of some repair, which should have no effect on the tenants, unless they somehow accessed a locked area without permission. 9. We have been in the real estate and rental business 26 years in a small town of 800 people. Until recently I was unaware of this site, so my response is not timely. 10. The last facts: In a small town you do not stay in business 26 years if you are not honest and take care of your business. In 20+ years in the rental business, you can never please some of the tenants and normally that is the tenant not paying rent, breaking into areas they are not suppose to be, looking for any reason to complain about things that have no effect on them, etc.
