Midland Funding - Rubin & Rothman Re-Aging old Debts over 10 years old, that has been settled ripoff San Diego California
I recently received a letter in the mail from Rubin & Rothman, stating that there client Midland Funding is suing me. I never heard of this company, so I immediately went to annual credit report . com to see what was on my credit report. I haven't viewed my credit report in over 2 years, and what I found would have amazed you. Midland Funding purchase a debt that was resolved over 4 years ago. My credit report at the time said charge off, on an account that was opened 13 years ago. There were so many inquiries if I didn't know any better It would have looked like I was applying for a credit card or something. They not only bought my account, but they listed it as though I just opened up the account with them 1 year ago. I haven't applied for a credit card in over 5 years.
So now on my credit report it is listed as open 4/2006 and closed 5/2007. If that not bogus what is. Encore Capital, Midland Funding, Midland Credit Management, and Rubin & Rothman are all one entity and are under one umbrella. They need to be investigated. The SOL is up, no further actions can be taken on this account. But what really puzzles me is the court system. If they are seeing the same attorneys enteriing judgements as frequently as they are for the same client, would a red flag go up, and wouldn't that encourage them to read some of these affadavits, and see if there are any valid claims.
Something has to be done and right away. I will do all that I can, but it can't be just me alone. So all that read this please follow up with the following just as I am. New York Dept of Justice, Attorney Generals Office, BBB, Licensing Division (Dept. of Consumers Affair) not only for Midland, but for the attorney that is submitting all the affadavits.
