Midlands Estate Sales DON'T EVER USE THEM TO SELL YOUR STUFF EVER! Lexington South Carolina
I need to move fast so I contacted Midlands Estate Sales in Lexington SC to come over to my home for an estimate.
They arrived late but called to say they were going to be late.
Upon arriving Carter Duke (owner) looked over all of my items and said yes he could sell them.
It would cost me 40% commission plus $245 for storage and shipping costs.
I had a bedroom set, includeing matteress and box spring.
office stuff, lliving room set and washer/dryer.
They came to take my stuff I had to provide them with half the cost of shipping and storage.
I had discussed with Carter that I expected around $1200 total for the sale of all of my items and he said he could not say how much but that some where around $1200 sounded right.
After a few months I received a check for a little over $300 for the sale of all of my items including the washer/dryer (1 year old). They took 40% commission which as it turns out was around $528 as listed on the email they sent me.
So my advice to you is to never under any circumstances use this business for anything ever.
look else where!
