For recent graduates looking for a beginning career,

There are many job oppurtunities out there who are looking for young, energetic, and diligent workers. I finished my college career with a BA in Psychology, BBA in Management, and a BBA in Marketing. I learned of this event marketing firm (MIH Promotions) by the help of online job databases. They are a company that help non-profit organizations to raise funds. This involves setting up table dsplays of their products outside of different stores while selling their legit items to the

community.

They do coordinate their events with the stores and help their clients. What I do disagree with is how the company explains their management trainee program. They do "promote with in", but they do not explain in detail how they "promote with in" at the begining of employement. They stress how one can be a manager of their own office as early as in a year. During my second interview, one of their top sellers broke down the program and stated that as a distributer, one can atleast make $250-400's a week.

The next level in the program would be a trainer/leader and can make $400-800's a week, and etc for the next two levels until management. Unfortunately, this is a LIE. The amount of money you make depends on what you sell in the field. You get a small percentage of each item and this is how you recieve your CASH (no checks). I, as well as others would work 12 hour days and only bring in $45 each for our income. If you enjoy working like a field horse, then this job is for you. Just make sure you ask all the vital questions before accepting the job such as:

What is your employee turnover rate? (I know it is high)

Is this commission base? (Yes...Don't let them fool you)

Don't waste your time with a job because the "Atmosphere" is a fun environment. Get the facts about the company. Ask them early on about how the company came to be in detail before accepting the job. Ask about Quantum, Innovage, Grantum, Cydcore. Ask them what they do and where they get their products from. Don't be scared to ask questions. Before leaving, I've been their for only 4 to 5 weeks, and I learned more about the company from those who use to work their; to those that do and are on the verge of quiting. Do your homework.
