Hello I was reading some of the complaints toward Millenium Marketing and I agree, I know Millenium Marketing is a rip off because I worked there for over 5 years. I did everything from sales to capping an order to verifing the info on tape. Every day I went to work I had to leave my soul at the door. I regret ever working there and causing all the harm to people by ruining the credit and overcharging peoples acounts.

I could go on for days, talking about the scams millenium has pulled on people. If anybody out there needs help with any questions about the company out of Shawnee KS please let me know.

Tried to scam my daughter

#2Consumer Comment

Wed, May 16, 2018

I read the report and all the rebuttals made.  Millennium Marketing tried to scam my daughter.  She is developmentally disabled and in no way shape or form can she make financial decisions for herself.  She has a guardian protecting her funds and she has no access to those funds.  Yet, Millennium Marketing sent her a one year subscription to Seventeen.  She was shocked.  She is not interested in that magazine and she did not order it.  I didn't order it for her.  I did some investigation and found out who I needed to contact to stop this subscription. I started with Seventeen and they told me to talk to Subco.  Subco is supposed to cancel her subscription, but Subco also told me that Millennium Marketing sent it to her as a Paid Offer Subscription and that my daughter would not be billed and the subscription would not renew.  Subco are supposed to add her to their do not mail list.  What I would like to know is how did they get her phone number and mailing address??  Anyway, I threatened them with a lawsuit if they kept doing this and didn't stop her subscription.  Thing is, my threat is not just a threat, it is a promise.  Her guardian and I will not allow a company to use predatory marketing at any of my disabled children.  I haven't contacted Millennium myself yet, but I will and when I do contact them they are going to hear an earful from me.

Yeah selling magazines over the phone is a tough job and isnt a very good deal for the "dumbass born every day" customers. Telemarketing in general is designed to get ahold of people with bad credit and poor investing skills. First of all we should focus our ill thoughts towards the credit card companies who gave these idiots a line of credit in the first place. However I have personaly dealt with several of the upper mananagement in this company, a few of them are SLIME...worse then used car salesmen. I know that part of there scheme(not scam...I hate that word)is to employ idiots to call idiots..then they share or sell the data to each other under different buisness names (dial link wheel, millenium, CDG, etc) and try to re-sell the same dumbass...thats real fun when you have the account number right there in front of you...haha..Oh but my FAVORITE part is this...they acctually sell there employees on the fact that they will someday run the office..or have there very own office...Sounds good...ubetcha. Really though most bad comments are made by the guys that couldnt sell...I myself run my own office selling a better product and making more money then any magazine salesmen could imagine! GOOD LUCK TO YOU. Find a better product then overpriced crappy mags...Oh by the way I did get screwed by girls gone wild back in college...good job...(I heard you guys are calling on that now...STAY AWAY FROM ME!)

If any of you have worked here, you should have known that. I have worked for the company for 7 years, most of it in capping/verification and now I am a manager for the department. If any of you have ever worked for me you would know that if you mislead a customer than you would be reprimanded or fired. The reason for us to monitor you is to make sure that you aren't misleading the customer and it is also used as a training tool. Our scripts are quite clear and in verification we ask the customer if they have an exsisting magazine account with us or any other company. Weather or not they do, we still ask them that if they did have another account, they understand that this order they are now placing is a seperate order with a seperate payment through a seperate company and the customer must reply with a "YES" or "Okay" or the order would be "killed" out in our quality assurance program. And finally after all that we give the customer a quiz to make sure that they understand the basics of the order. They are as follows: Do you remember how much your monthly payment is? How many payment are you set to make? Do you remember when your first payment will process? And do you remember our company name? I take pride in providing a service to customer that is a good deal for magazine readers and always stress that it is quality not quanity. You don't stay in business for long if you don't operate under these rules.

First of all let me say that that company is a total scam......I was in sales and a capper. One of our rebuttels as a capper was "we are registered with the better buisness bureau.....we wouldnt do anything without your verbal authorization. I would "full boat" the customers and sell them 10 magazines subscriptions for 2 years then it drops down to 5 magazines the next year and so on......until finally at the fifth year they are only recieving 1 magazine. The customer is charged 1,405.00 dollars in total. OK HERES HOW IT WORKS..... FIRST THE SALE DEPARMENT BUYS "LEADS" WHICH ARE PHONE NUMBERS. THEY TRAIN A BUNCH OR CONVICTS THAT ARE STILL LIVING IN "THE CENTER" WHICH IS A HALFWAY HOUSE. THEY TRY TO BOOST UP THEIR SELF ESTEEM AND TELL THEM THAT THEY ARE "SOMEBODY AND THEY HAVE A CHANCE TO ADVANCE IN THE COMPANY".SO YOU HAVE THESE CONVICTS REBUTTELING THEIR ASSES OFF TRYING TO MAKE BOARD BONUS. (BOARD BOUNS IS THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE THAT YOU TRANSFER AND GET CHARGED FOR MAGAZINES...THE WAY THEY PAY THEM IS $1=1,$6=2,$10=3,$20=4,$25=5,$40=6 AND SO ON....) THEY TRANFER THEM OVER...THE CAPPER(WHICH IS THE CLOSER) TRYS TO BUILD THEIR TRUST AND SELLS THEM MAGAZINES......BUT THEY TELL THEM THEY WILL RECIEVE 10 MAGAZINES FOR 5 YEARS. HERES HOW THE PITCH GOES..... HI (CUSTOMER) HOW ARE YOU DOING TODAY. IM BARRY (THE CONVICTS SUPERVISOR) YOU JUST SPOKE WITH HIM WAS HE POLITE AND CURIOUS WITH YOU? GREAT AS HE MENTIONED WE DO HAVE A FREE GIFT FOR YOU...IT YOUR CHOICE BETWEEN A MENS ARE A WOMANS DIAMOND QUARTZ WATCH....WHICH ONE WOULD YOU PREFER.....GREAT AS HE ALSO MENTION WE ARE GOING TO GET THESE MAGAZINE OUT FOR THE ONLY COST IS 4.99 A WEEK THAT COMES OUT TO A STRAIGHT 23.40 A MONTH......OK......NOW WHAT KIND OF MAGAZINES DO YOU ENJOY...... THATS THE PITCH.... NOW THE CAPPING SUPERVISOR IS AMY JOHNSON......SHE IS A DRUNK ASIAN b***h......SHE MAKES SURE THAT WE ARE SAYING JUST THE RIGHT THING THAT WAY WE WONT GET SHUT DOWN....SO SHE SPENDS THE WHOLE DAY MONITORING OUR CALLS....... AS A CAPPER THEY ALSO DEAL WITH (4 STAR) WHICH ARE CUSTOMERS THAT ALREADY HAVE MAGAZINES THROUGH MILLENIUM MARKETING BUT THROUGH A DIFFERENT COMPANY NAME LIKE PUBLISHERS RENEWEL SERVICE. THEY TELL THEM THEY ARE THE SAME COMPANY, VERIFY THAT THEY ARE RECIEVING SO AND SO MAGAZINES..... READ BACK THEIR CREDIT CARD NUMBER AND SAY OK NOW WERE GO AHEAD AND GET THESE MAGAZINES OUT TO YOU OK.....ALRIGHT HAVE A NICE DAY... LITTLE DO THEY KNOW THAT THEY ARE GETTING BILLED AGAIN........ SO THATS PRETTY MUCH IT....... SO IF A MAGAZINE COMPNAY EVER CALLS YOU UP....SAY THESE WORDS.......PLEASE REMOVE MY NAME FROM YOUR LIST AND PUT ME ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST. THAT WAY THEY WONT CALL YOU BACK.... AND YEAH AND BILL FROM OLATHE....THAT IS..... HOW IS HOW YOU SPELL MILLENIUM MARKETING.... I NEVER HAVE NEVER SEEN YOU THERE IN THE LAST 3 YEARS SO DONT SAY YOU KNOW HOW IT IS........ UNLESS YOURS TERRYS FRIEND....UH OH.............

First of all if you worked there as long as you claim how come you can not even spell the Company's name correct? I am curious which department you worked in, obviously it was the "creative department" and you were the only member of that group!!! Why would you work there so long if they did of these these horrible things you claim??? The only thing I am aware of is that if a customer declined a magazine order (refereed to as a kill) they were called back at a later date to try and be re-sold. Is there someting wrong with that? Your allegations are false and you know it, if you really did work there (which I doubt) you are just bitter for being fired!

I am being truthfull Do you actually want me to tell everybody how Millenium ruins peoples credit

Do you actually want me to tell everybody how Millenium ruins peoples credit. I can go into a lot of details for but for one. When a customer buys magazines from millenium, thats one order they have. Three to six months down the road we would call them back and renew there magazines for another 5years on top of the 5 years they already have so that means they have 2 orders. At that time there name would be sold to other companies. Then the other companies would call the customer and the customer would think it was Millenium calling just to verify the info. but in all actuallity they would order another 5 years of magazines from a different company. So now they have 3 orders with 2 different companies. The bad thing is the customer doesnt find this out until they get thier credit card or checking statement in the mail and see 3 different charges to their cc account. If thats not ruining someones credit then what is. Any other questions just let me know.

Please be truthful!!! you should know that they do not report to credit agencies.

If you worked at the company for 5 years as you claim you should know that they do not report to credit agencies. So how do they ruin credit???? I do know that they recently terminated some employees for failure to comply the ethics they set forth. Perhaps you were one of them????
