My girlfriend attended 1 of these scam seminars and and recieved a ticket voucher which required a $100.00 processing fee. The check was mailed in on time with all the needed information and voucher to recieve her tickets.

I too attended the presentation. Got a ton of very difficult to redeem vouchers and a very enthusiastic sales pitch. Was promised that I would be given a $50 American Express card at the time of the sales pitch. However, was told after listening to the presentation that they would mail it to me. That was over 6 months ago. Gee what a surprise. Just very glad that I didn't buy from this very shady company.

I have seen a lot of negative feedback about Global Connections, but for the record, even though I was unable to get the requested airline tickets/all of the travel requests, those companies were good about refunding our money. We DID get one of the 2 night/3 day requests fulfilled, with refunded deposit following our completed travel. Also, after e-mailing Global re: bogus gas rebate, they informed me that company had gone out of business (never notifying anyone), so Global is sending me a check for the unpaid rebate amounts. They also informed me that a go-between company actually signs people up for their travel program, and those groups hand out a lot of offers that don't get fulfilled, which they hope to correct. Because Global Connections, Inc. is making the effort to make things right for me, I feel that speaks well of their customer service ...

It is very common for employees/owners of companies that have been reported on the Rip-Off Report or similar sites to defend themselves by pretending to be happy clients. My parents went to a seminar yesterday and were scammed into signing up with Global. They were told that Global would buy the timeshare they already own. Of course that didn't happen. They will go back today and cancel. I expect that this won't be an easy undertaking. I will post what happens as it happens.

I have been a member of Global Services Network and Global Discovery Vacations for at least 4 years. It has been the best investment that I've ever made. Yes on some of the special offers you get when attending a presentation you do have to jump through ropes but if you comply with the instructions you will get what has been offered. We got everything that was offered from our presentation that we attended in Jacksonville, FL. We got the $90 is gas credit, we took an all inclusive trip including airfare to Cancun, and other things that I can't think of now. From time to time they ask if they can do a home party and from the one that we did we took a 7 day cruise on the Carnival Glory (a newer ship at the time) for a low price. They also gave a free 3 day two night vacation to us and everyone attending along with money for the snacks. I've had an oceanfront condo for every Daytona 500 and Pepsi/Coke Zero 400 since we've been members. We've been to Las Vegas for 7 days staying 1 block off of the strip at a suites hotel. Spent many weeks at Orlando when we used to buy Florida resident yearly passes. The current price for a week in a condo is only about $98 and you do have to pay a yearly fee of like $395. How can you beat this? We get 6 stars per year and that gives you three weeks of peak season travel. Three weeks total of $395 plus $98 + $98 + 98 equals $689 total for the year. Are you kidding me this is a no brainer. They also offer expressways, hotlines, travel services, and a buying club. I just saw the complaint about Global while looking something else up so I just had to comment. Bill in Jacksonville, FL
