I too attended a presenation due to the (2) free ticket promotion. I called before going to find out EXACTLY what fees were attached to the 'free' tickets. I would end up paying $140 in fees. I was told I had a year to decide where to go and to use the voucher.

The presentation was very hoaxy in Scottsdale. They put HIGH pressure on you and act like they are legit but after going and researching online...you find that the 'travel club' stars they are offering are EXTREMELY hard to use. Most places people want to go for a week are booked years in advace and the fees to use them are outrageous too.

I decided NOT to buy but was given my ticket voucher so I can figure out where I'd like to go. My boyfriend and I finally figured it out just recently (one month after attending the meeting with Global Travel in Scottsdale)...their address is: 16427 N. Scottsdale Road, Suite 145, Scottsdale, AZ 85254 and the office phone number is: 480-346-4084.

Anyway, I was reading the back after filling out the request form and there are SOOO many hoops you have to jump through to get these tickets. The following are what they asked for you to do to get your "FREE" tickets:

1) Complete the Travel Request Form

2) Send Form in Envelope by CERTIFIED MAIL to address shown

3) Include a $65 processing fee PER PERSON in the form of Postal Money Order, or Cashiers Check Only

4) Choose 3 dates on your form, allowing at least 45 days between choices

5) Mail request back to them at least 60 days before the chosen date

6) You will receive your ticket 14 days before travel

7) No refunds

8) Blackout dates apply (although they don't tell you which days)

AND.....the fine print also included

9) The envelope must be POSTMARKED 21 days after your issue date

Yep that's right...of of the above information was included in the top 2 bulleted items and there were 10 other bullets of information. They obviously hope to get you on the first points about 3 dates, 45 days in between...making it SO hard for people to pick a 'vacation' date. They hope you get lost in all the words and hung up on figuring out where you'd like to go and don't read the fine print on the very back.

Since I was told that I had 1 year...I did not EVEN THINK to read it closely. It's obviously expired now (It's been 1 month, not 21 days). I called customer service and spoke to the manager, Mike at 386-763-5778 and he said SORRY! And I said what I was told by Global Travel and he said "Sorry" and I told him that it's been 30 days and he said "That's OVER 21 days!" So he obviously wasn't willing to make any exceptions.

I can't say I'm surprised though. After reading the other ripoff reports, even people that followed the steps and were good about reading the packet of information when they got it, DIDNT GET THE TICKETS!

My Advice: Spread the word about the companies: (Millennium Travel, Global Travel Group, Global Connections, Inc.Millennium Travel, Global Travel Group, Global Discover Vacations, Global Connections, Inc.) They are ALL interconnected and fraudulant to say the least!!! I would recommend telling everyone you know not to go to their "Time Share" like presentation, you will have a better use of your two hours in your life.

My girlfriend attended 1 of these scam seminars and and recieved a ticket voucher which required a $100.00 processing fee. The check was mailed in on time with all the needed information and voucher to recieve her tickets.

Instead they mailed a company refund check stating she failed to meet the requirements because she failed to use certified mail. When i tried to call the phone number was disconnected. This is a fly by night ripp off company with so many names and scams i cant believe they can stay in business and our next stop is the BBB.

I too attended the presentation.  Got a ton of very difficult to redeem vouchers and a very enthusiastic sales pitch.  Was promised that I would be given a $50 American Express card at the time of the sales pitch.  However, was told after listening to the presentation that they would mail it to me.  That was over 6 months ago.  Gee what a surprise.  Just very glad that I didn't buy from this very shady company.

I have seen a lot of negative feedback about Global Connections, but for the record, even though I was unable to get the requested airline tickets/all of the travel requests, those companies were good about refunding our money. We DID get one of the 2 night/3 day requests fulfilled, with refunded deposit following our completed travel. Also, after e-mailing Global re: bogus gas rebate, they informed me that company had gone out of business (never notifying anyone), so Global is sending me a check for the unpaid rebate amounts. They also informed me that a go-between company actually signs people up for their travel program, and those groups hand out a lot of offers that don't get fulfilled, which they hope to correct. Because Global Connections, Inc. is making the effort to make things right for me, I feel that speaks well of their customer service ...

It is very common for employees/owners of companies that have been reported on the Rip-Off Report or similar sites to defend themselves by pretending to be happy clients. My parents went to a seminar yesterday and were scammed into signing up with Global. They were told that Global would buy the timeshare they already own. Of course that didn't happen. They will go back today and cancel. I expect that this won't be an easy undertaking. I will post what happens as it happens.

I have been a member of Global Services Network and Global Discovery Vacations for at least 4 years. It has been the best investment that I've ever made. Yes on some of the special offers you get when attending a presentation you do have to jump through ropes but if you comply with the instructions you will get what has been offered. We got everything that was offered from our presentation that we attended in Jacksonville, FL. We got the $90 is gas credit, we took an all inclusive trip including airfare to Cancun, and other things that I can't think of now. From time to time they ask if they can do a home party and from the one that we did we took a 7 day cruise on the Carnival Glory (a newer ship at the time) for a low price. They also gave a free 3 day two night vacation to us and everyone attending along with money for the snacks. I've had an oceanfront condo for every Daytona 500 and Pepsi/Coke Zero 400 since we've been members. We've been to Las Vegas for 7 days staying 1 block off of the strip at a suites hotel. Spent many weeks at Orlando when we used to buy Florida resident yearly passes. The current price for a week in a condo is only about $98 and you do have to pay a yearly fee of like $395. How can you beat this? We get 6 stars per year and that gives you three weeks of peak season travel. Three weeks total of $395 plus $98 + $98 + 98 equals $689 total for the year. Are you kidding me this is a no brainer. They also offer expressways, hotlines, travel services, and a buying club. I just saw the complaint about Global while looking something else up so I just had to comment. Bill in Jacksonville, FL
