I hired Mint Treem Media to design a template style website. It took 3 months of begging to get an extremely poorly designed very amateurish website with incorrect information and non-functioning features. When the owner Chris Cuellar, refused to give me the source code which is the key to using and updating the website unless I paid him more money. So I am stuck with a terrible website that I cannot even get someone else to fix because I do not have the source code which I paid for once. I am being forced to come only to Mint Tree Media to work on my website. I was told in no uncertain terms that the source was included with the website purchase.

We were informed about this report about 6 weeks after it was posted on this website. A potential vendor of ours made us aware of this filing prior to that we had no knowledge of this report. We did business with Cathy Bestland/ Masterpiece carved doors, we constructed a website for her in july of 2008 she requested numerous changes, we changed a re changed every item she requested within the limits of the template she selected. We spent approximately $8000.00 dollars in man hours trying to keep up with her many requests which we did not refuse. She only agreed to pay us $800.00 dollars, so we did our best to make her happy despite losing a fortune in worktime. She slyly made a demand for the source code to the flash files for her site. Which we never refused to provide, we simply informed her we needed to discuss the issue because we did not own the license to the source code so making it available to her was not necessarily our call. In our agreement with her originally there was no agreement to provide her with the source code. So when she made a demand for it. Naturally we needed to consider her request to be inaddition to the original agreement. She had requested so many changes and re changes that we asked her to give us her final change requests and please sign our agreement that she was satisfied with our design and she would request no further changes from us and we would happily provide source code so everyone would be satisfied. Here is where it caught up with her: we were sent a letter by the better business bureau on October 28th informing of us of her complaints, in addition it was just prior to this we were informed of this post on ripoffreport, so I contacted the appropriate parties(authorities) and presented the evidence of libel/slander and the notarized document with her signature stating everything had been performed to her satisfaction. They informed me they had enough information to investigate our claim. So proceeded to contact her and she told them she was leaving the area and moving temporarily to kentucky to see her mother so she would not come down meet with them to see if charges were valid. I feel that posting false claims online and then essentially running when confronted with them is cowardly and is quite telling about her character. If she had done no wrong she should have felt completely comfortable sitting down with the authorities she would have no reason to fear. We hope that this information helps to post an honest clear picture of what actually occured. If references are needed before doing business with our company please ask we'd be happy to provide them we've done a couple of big projects locally and nationally. Thank you, Chris
