NO MATTER IF YOUR DAUGHTER WAS ON THE CELL OR NOT, SHE AS WELL AS YOURSELF SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN TREATED SO POORLY...THERE IS NO EXCUSE. ON THE OTHER HAND IT MAY BE PRUDENT FROM NOW ON TO HAVE YOUR DAUGHTER VIEW THE JEWELRY, LEAVE THE STORE TO DISCUSS IT WITH YOU AND THEN RETURN TO PURCHASE THE ITEMS. I WORK IN A JEWELRY STORE AND THE WAY WE HANDLE THE CELL PHONE SITUATION IS TO WAIT TILL THE CUSTOMER/ GUEST IS DONE WITH THE CALL BEFORE SHOWING MERCHANDISE. A LOT OF STORE HAVE BEEN ROBBED AND CASED USING CELL PHONES RECENTLY...THIS OWNER'S PROBLEM WAS THAT SHE(BY YOUR SIDE OF THE STORY)OVERREACTED BY HAVEING THE GOON SQUAD REMOVE SOMEONE FOR JUST BEING ON A CELL...THEN LETTING A DIFFERENT CUSTOMER BREAK HER RULE RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU...POOR MANAGEMENT...POOR DECISION-MAKING...POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! EVEN IF YOUR DAUGHTER WAS SCREAMING INTO THE PHONE, HOW HARD WOULD IT HAVE BEEN FOR HER TO ASK YOUR DAUGHTER TO SPEAK A LITTLE SOFTER. GOOD LUCK

Let me start out by saying that I think that woman's treatment of you was crazy. I don't understand how people like that stay in business. I noticed that you said you talked to the hotel supervisor. However, the hotel has nothing to do with the shops. The shops are not "in" the Westin Crown Center, they are just connected. The mall part is a completely seperate entity. So when the hotel supervisor said he couldn't help you because it was not them who threw you out, he was correct. Although, it sounds as if he wasn't very clear explaining the difference The mall has its own customer service desk. I looked them up on the yellow pages and they list a customer service number: (816) 274-7251. This is different from the security people. Maybe they can be of more help. There is also the website www.crowncenter.com. I would suggest calling them to see if you can file some sort of complaint on the business, although they probably can't do much of anything either. She did have the right to kick you guys out, although as you said it was bad business, because it was private property. She doesn't need a reason. But again, what she did was morally wrong and I'm not trying to defend her in any way. She should go into a store and be treated the way she treated you two, and then she how she feels. I hope this helps.
