These kind of retreats are a SCAM! Do not go to Misty Mountain, save your money and get yourself some proper nutrition and fitness elsewhere!
They provide juices which can be done at home. They don’t have a personal trainer or proper gym.
They have snakes around the premises. They don’t have internet.
There is absolutely nothing to do there besides going to lectures and being in a classroom all week. You get just 2 massages for a whole week for the whole time you are there costs $2000 plus the use of their steam rooms, so what, big deal, It’s a RIP OFF!
You don’t need to be stuck in a classroom to be told not to have Wheat and Sugar or Chew 33 times or have a drink with your meals.
Trust me, its a waste of time and money. Don’t go! It’s for people who have no clue about anything.
We had a salesman by the name of Michael O'neill call us on the phone and quickly try and attepmt to charge us $6,000 and said we need to pay $500 deposit.
After asking proper questions and after they force you to pay a $500 or more deposit and by then it's too late to do anything.
We paid and lost our deposit after telling them we no longer want to go within 48 hours. We booked 2 months in advance there should be plenty of time to cancel. They refused to give back the deposit!
They are desperate for money so they would rather stiff you for money. Furthermore it's illegal to get your credit card details over the phone without a disclaimer and by law there should always be a cooling off period. We have submitted our complaint to office of fair trading!
Again don't go to this retreat they are desperate for every dollar. If they were always busy and fully booked they wouldn't worry about giving money back for a cancellation only 48 hours in!
