My husband and I have bad credit, but we found a house online that was a lease to own. This was a God send for us. We have now been in the house for a year. At first, our contact with MJ Projects, Joanne Pierce, was on top of things.
A month ago, the property own showed up on my door step asking about our payments. He recieved only the first six payments of the twelve we have sent, and never recieved the downpayment we sent. No one can reach MJ Projects any longer.
We are having to go to court at the end of the month to contest to our payments. So far the owner has been understanding and is not asking for us to leave. He understands that he has been scammed as much as we have been. However, to stay, we will have to release though the owner, at a higher payment than what we had before, and he is asking for another downpayment, since MJ Projects never sent the original.
I am out my entire savings. With the increase in monthly payments, we are not going to be able to buy in two years as was planned. My options now are take it all in stride with a grin, or pack up and leave while still not getting anything back.
Definately a huge scam, wish my initial research into this company would have shown this.

I am so sorry to hear what happened to you. I am a landlord that was scammed just like yours was. It was Christmas when I found out, I lost 4 grand, and I was 8 months pregnant. I wrote the first report on her from South Carolina. I moved, but I reported her to police, FBI, lawyers,... Some had interest, but just let it go eventually.
There are so many of us, and she needs to be stopped. Every time someone writes a report, I file a rebuttal to see if they will contact me. If we all join together, we would have a way better chance of getting her in jail. I don't care if it takes me 10 years to have enough money of my own to have her put in jail, I will never let this go.
If you ever want to talk my number is (((ROR redacted))). I don't give a sh** if she sees and calls me, I would love to hear her voice again so I can lay into her.
