Model Home Furniture Rip Off! Not worth the discounts!! Katy Texas
Don't believe the hype of the "Christian" face the family that owns Model Home Furniture! I spent well over $6,000 in June, 2006 this store and that bought me a headache and some very cheaply made furniture!
Most of the merchandise was delivered damaged. What I got the most problems with was the theatre seating. A very good looking set. However, was sliced in multiple places across the leather! When I called to speak to the Ochoa's about replacing this set, I was promised a new set immediately.
A month went by. I called and spoke to Sandra Ochoa-Rumney who informed me it's just taking a little longer than usual. I waited some more. I was told the 15th of AUGUST, I would have delivery. I called to confirm on the 14th and then I'm told I was never promised August 15th, that was approximate! WHAT THE?? The date was then changed to September 15th (3 months later).
By now I was dealing with Sonia Ochoa, very rude and disrespectful! She put me on "hold" and told her sister "tell her to STOP calling here!"
I ran out of patience by this time, months had gone by and they gave me the run-around. They flat out REFUSED to give me a refund until I had to sue them in small claims court! Even the judge called her out and let her know some of the bigger named stores would not give their customers this treatment! She even LIED in court and told the judge they "TRIED to deliver a new set to me and I would leave everytime they showed up!"
Needless to say, I won the claim and it STILL took them another month and a half to write the check!
If you value your money and want quality furniture that will last. Do NOT shop at Model Home Furniture!

I am happy to post that the Ochoa family that owns Model Home Furniture has resolved their issues with me and finally made right by me. We have finally put this issue behind us and it brought so much peace! Be Blessed!
