Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
At first glance, this company seems legitimate. When I was "referred" by one of MTG's "talent scouts", I was somewhat excited about the experience. However, after listening to many of the owner's, Troy Terry's, lies, and then experiencing them first hand, I was just annoyed. At first, he did tell me that this was simply an agency and did not guarantee any outside work, but he also made me believe very effectively, that I was capable of making money. He made me feel "special" and "unique" to the point where I believed I could actually make some extra cash. (I'm usually very apprehensive about these types of things, but he is very good at convincing). Then I realized that he lets almost anyone that walks through the door sign as a "model" or "actor" or "singer" as long as they pay him. In fact, they bring in so much of this "unique" and "special" "talent" that there is little time for him or his wife to do anything else, like what he promised in the first place. Its been over 13 months, and I've received one phone call about two months ago. This was for an audition for a "National Television Commercial". When I showed up, the auditions were being done by Angela Terry holding a handheld, home recording device in mass form. They "couldn't tell me who the commercial was for" and the people that went before and after me were not anywhere near my type of role. (For example, I'm a 20 year old male and about a 5 year old female "auditioned" before me). Meaning if there really was a national commerical looking for business in kansas city, missouri, they apparently didn't have any specific actor they were looking for. I believe this was simply to get everyone who gave their money to the company a year before excited about the chance again, and hopefully, willing to pay another year's subscription. It didn't work for me. To a certain extent, I believe that I am just not wanted in this type of work, however when a company or an individual won't even return e-mails or phone calls for a $900 service, I think that is enough to refuse business.
