 I called Monitronics in March, April and May 2014 to tell them I needed my service cancelled as of 5/27/14, the day before closing on my home sale.  They assured me it would be done.  On 5/28 my buyer came for the final walk-through and the service was still on, set off the alarm and scared him to death.  Because I did not trust Monitronics I had given the agent the kill code so he was able to shut it off.  The house sale closed on 5/28/14 and I no longer live in that city, let alone that house.

On 5/28 when I learned of this I again called Monitronics.  The person in the Move department said "Yes, I see in the notes we were to shut it off yesterday" and assured me she had done so.  I then got a bill for services from 5/19 to 6/19.  I called AGAIN and told them of the 5/28 and prior calls.  I was assured they would make the correction. I paid for serfvices through 5/27 and gave them written notice of my previous conversations.

I then 30 days later got another bill for services from 6/19-7/19, with a balance forward.  I had paid my small balnce due of $16.09 with a check which cleared, with the written notice in the same envelope.  I called them today, 7/16, and was told by Ann that "oh yes, I see the notes here, you need to talk to the move department."  I told her I had already done that, twice, and done a written notification and was not going to waste my time there again.  I then called again and asked for a supervisor.  I was told a supervisor would tell me the same thing, and yes, the young man there sees the notes clear back to April 2014.

This company is FRAUDULENTLY billing me and has repeatedly acknowledged they have prior instruction to cancel as of 5/27.  I told the 2nd person, the one who said his supervisor can't do anything, that I am sure our MN Attorney General would like to learn of their fraudulent billing practices as well.

Someone from Monitronics needs to cancel this billling.  My former customer # is 300086980 and the current, TOTALLY WRONG balance is $38.18.  I have never seen such incompetence in my life!

 

If I get another bill, I will be contacting the AG!
