Take ALL the paperwork back to Monro. Show them that 2 dealerships concur the fluid was NOT flushed and allow Monro to make it right. More than likely, they will do it. If you do not give them the opportunity to correct this, you will not have a chance to get any future compensation from them. Most shops don't really flush the fluid anyway. They shove a suck-tube down into the transmission pan and suck it all up. Then, they refill the transmission. They call that a "fluid change", but it is nothing of the sort. All they have done is add a few quarts of clean fluid to a couple of gallons of dirty fluid. In effect, they still leave you with gallons of dirty fluid. It takes about 10 minutes. An actual flush requires time and lots of clean fluid. The fluid is flushed through the cooler lines. When the fluid is clean coming through, the flush is complete. Most cars take about 12 qts to get it done. I charge $75 for this service. If the customer also wants a new filter installed, they will pay another $75. What did Monro charge you? I am curious about one thing. Why did you have Monro do the "flush" and then take it to the dealership the following day for the rest of the servicing? I think it would have been easier to just have the Toyota dealer do all of it while they had it. Was CHEAP part of the equation? If it was, was it worth it? Take the car back to Monro and settle with them. If the locals won't help you, call their corporate number.
