I had the misfortune of taking my 1999 Dodge Ram pickup to the dealership to get a leaking rear seal fixed. I took it to Monterey Bay Dodge because two other shops were unable to address the problem. One shop, ( sears) replaced the rear seal 3 times in two weeks. They told me that they were unable to repair my vehicle, that I would have to take it to a dealership, since Dodge built it, Dodge can fix it. They then gave me a refund for the work done, since they could not fix the problem.
Well, I drove my pickup to Watsonville ( I live in Boulder Creek) and recieved a lecture from Victor in the service dept. about using independent shops to repair a Dodge vehicle, that only Dodge can fix Dodge vehicles. I was not amused to listen to a lecture, but if that's what it took to get my truck fixed, so be it. Well imagine my surprise when after paying $1400.00 in repair costs, the Dodge installed seal failed in three days. When I complained to Dodge corperate, I recieved and E-mail from customer service rep 'Mikayla'; saying that Dodge does not garantee work performed on a 17 year old vehicle. At no point during the 'lecture' did they say that they would not garantee the work on my vehicle. They accepted my 17 year old vehicle for repair,
They charged me money to 'fix' my 17 year old pickup. I would not ever go back there, lectured like some 16 year old kid, ( I'm 53) and paying $1400.00 for a repair yhat lasted 3 days is unacceptable to me. Do not trust Dodge corp to do anything, They didn't bring any vasaline to the counter, they just gave me, " The business." If you spend money at Monterey Bay Dodge, you are on your own.

For some reason you failed to answer the question, what are the warranty terms as noted on your copy of the service invoice?

If you read my narrative, I clearly wrote that Dodge said THEY do not warranty work done on a 17 year old pickup. They know what is written on the back of the paperwork, they don't care, Mikayla clearly stated they do not honer warranties on a 17 year old pickup. As now that 2 goverment agencies are involved into looking into the matter, I will not comment further.

They should offer a warranty. What are the warranty terms as noted on your copy of the service invoice?
