I SAW THIS AND I would like to add, there is 100 students in this class, at about 900 dollars per student, they book the whole retreat. This is not a small class. Because it is a retreat you get, no toiletries, no tv, shared rooms, and have to bring all your own stuff. Now the  other side of this is they want you to buy the high end of the  supplys, very expensive clown costumes and materials. So unless you are a saint and want to suffer, why would you let them give you as little as possible, charge alot and get nothing. This in my opinion is ill treatment, abuse. 900 dollars to get sales pitch WERE YOUR TEACHERS ARE SALES MEN FOR A SOLID WEEK, in a place that has GOD all over it makes you think, this has to be correct. They would not sell me stuff I don;t need in a church, very confusing. The place ads to the rip off, because you couldn't possible be lied to there. So this is to be a educational week, I  think I AM EDUCATED NOW.

Last July I completed my 5th year at Mooseburger Camp. To me, it's the most amazing training I can get as a clown, and with all the extra fun activities taking place each day, the week is beyond incredible.

How horrible that someone wrote that nasty, totally baseless review. It sounds like they have never even been there. I can't even put into words how amazing Mooseburger Camp is for me each and every year. Other education I've taken doesn't even come close to the experience I get to have each summer.

The teachers - Tricia has all top notch, experienced clowns who absolutely know their stuff. They are always open to questions and have often helped me after class with something I may have needed extra help on. I've always felt supported and encouraged in my classes by the staff.

The classes - normally too many awesome ones to choose from, but each year I find just the right things to take that I want to focus on. I can't even begin to list all the great things I've learned over the past 5 camps, all the extra tips and ideas - it's mind boggling. Several notebooks full for sure!

The accommodations - Clean, yep. Toiletries, yep.  All the basics are provided. As for the TV, who has time for TV when the day is filled with learning and laughter and bunches of extra fun activities.  Our days start about 7:30am, with the fun often continuing until well after midnight.

Sales??? - What on earth is the complainer talking about? I've never been sold to in my classes... if anything, I'm the one asking where something comes from to be able to use in my clowning. I go with my list of the things I know I need and have saved up before camp, or for a few new goodies and know that everything I buy is because I want it, not because someone pushed me into a sale.

The education - For the money I pay each year, I get a clean great room, 3 good meals a day, the most awesome teachers and an incredible education... I would NEVER be the clown I am today without the training I've had from Tricia and her staff at Mooseburger Camp.... Each year I come away with new knowledge and skills, tons more information then I'll ever be able to remember, notes that I've written down from the great material I'm taught, "tips & extras" that weren't part of classes, and life long clown friends that are now part of my crazy fun world. What more could I ask for?

As for sharing a room? Thanks to Tricia having us share rooms, for 4 years now I've roomed with someone I met during year one and she is now one of the best friends I've had in my entire life. What extra fun this brings to camp getting to share a room with someone you have so much in common with and awesome fun with? Had it not been for sharing a room - I never would have been lucky enough to share this incredible experience with a new friend. We talk several times a week and continue working on the things we learn each year at Mooseburger all year long - yep, thanks to sharing a room.

Im not sure what this reviewer was expecting when (or IF ) they attended Mooseburger Camp.

As for me, Ill continue to attend this outstanding incredible and beyond CRAZY FUN camp each and every year, for as long as they will let me!!

I cannot believe the level of incorrectness that this person stated. I will correct things said one at a time. Toiletries....There is soap, toilet paper, and shampoo. Only 5 star hotels provide more than that. Lack of Internet and tv...Why would someone pay 900.00 to go to a retreat, just to watch tv? The point of the week long experience is to throw away the isolationism and submerse yourself into the clown arts with 120 people that share that same passion. But I'm sure there are those that would rather sit and watch tv than talk to Rex about meeting Otto Griebling, or Tricia knowing Lou Jacobs.
Sharing Rooms...Again. WHY ISOLATE yourserself! The experience is the interaction with others of like mind. Being with people 24 hrs a day for a week that LOVE clowning!

High pressure sales/teachers...I have spent in the last 2 years a total of 40.00 on supplies. I have never been told by any of the dealers that I should buy anything. I didn't go to buy supplies, so I havent. BUT I have a friend that saved all year so that she could try her outfit on in person before forking over a big chunk of cash. Now according to you, she should have been denied that privilage.

Just because the complainer doesn't want to spend lots of money on stuff doesn't mean that others don't either. Some folks buy a years worth of stuff when they get there, and then again like me there are those that don't. This is an amazing experience, you just have to ignore this person and see for yourself, and ohh yaeh, I loved the way the cliche God card was thrown in LOL! Nice!
