We leased a Honda Accord in 2001, our lease was over on May 4. We went to Morehead Honda to buy or lease another Accord. The lease didn't work out, so we were going to buy it. We went to pick up the car.

When we got there Vinnie Justino told us that our payment was $593.00; they knew that our payment needed to be around $300-$400.00. The reason the payment was so high is because the interest rate was 17%. We went to turn in the lease after buying a Toyota Solara. Vinnie was so rude and out of line and wouldn't let us turn our lease in. It seems to me that Vinnie Justino wants no part of anything unless he is going to make a sale. Needless to say I will never go there again.

Sterling I am willing to bet that you have taken cars in for a leasing company if the customer did not have all of the needed documentation.

Come on Mr Sterling I am willing to bet that you have taken cars in for a leasing company if the customer did not have all of the needed documentation. Willing to also bet that had they been wanting to buy a new car from you that day you would have taken that sled in and made sure that the leasing company got their car back! I feel you guys might have gotten a bit pissed that you could not stick them into a car on your lot at that time they were bringing the leased car back. I would love to see some of your newspaper advertisements. I bet you have disclaimers that are so small that you would need a magnifying glass to read the d**n things. I know car dealers like to create phony stock numbers on their "Lost Leader" cars. They like to say in their disclaimers things like "All cars subject to prier sales" Yea right! Any thing to sucker a car buyer on to a lot. Some car dealers like to say "Not responsible for type O's or photos in the add. Yeah Right. Who is responsible? I know a car dealer in Phoenix that plays dirty games like they right now have a 2000 Nissan crew cab truck with very low mileage for only $11,995. Advertised on autotrader.com. The truck has been on the web for many months. I call up the dealer to ask about it, they say yeah we got it come on down. I get to the lot and low and behold They have s**t! Just a ploy to get car buyers on the lot. Deceptive advertising. As far as I am concerned, I feel All car dealer advertisements are misleading and deceptive! You say "It is not the Sales person's job to talk interest or payments to any customer" You just don't want your Green peas to give up the "Backend Gross" Now you readers might like to read how the New York AG's office likes to spank car dealers. have fun reading the following! Mr Eliot Spitzer you can call me anytime if you need some extra help when you go after an auto dealer for deception! My hat is off to you. Maybe one day I can post my thoughts on other AG's in this country. Go to these URL's below and read how New York's AG's office goes after car dealers that they feel are not playing fair!Go ahead, post your thoughts! "Now My disclaimer. I am not saying these are bad car dealers. I am saying that they have had some contact with a good AG's office!" http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/1999/jul/jul14b_99.html http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2000/oct/oct26a_00.html http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2002/nov/nov07a_02.html http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2001/dec/dec13e_01.html http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2001/dec/dec13b_01.html http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2001/may/may30b_01.html http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2002/apr/apr19b_02.html http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2002/jan/jan14b_02.html http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2000/oct/oct12a_00.html http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2001/aug/aug09a_01.html http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2003/mar/mar12b_03.html http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/1999/sep/sep30e_99.html http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2003/mar/mar18b_03.html http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/1999/dec/dec06b_99.html http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2002/feb/feb28b_02.html http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2000/mar/mar28a_00.html http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2002/nov/nov07b_02.html http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2001/dec/dec13b_01.html My hat is Off to Eliot Spitzer is a man that all consumers in New York should thank. concerning the so-called rip off of Mr. Styles

Mon, May 24, 2004

As a sales rep sitting directly behind Mr. Justino, I witnessed the entire incident concerning the so-called rip off of Mr. Styles. At no time was Mr. Styles being ripped off by Mr. Justino. He came in to our dealership to turn in his leased vehicle. Mr. Justino asked him for the lease turn-in package, and the inspection report. Neither of which Mr. Styles had, or was willing to produce. Mr. Justino informed Mr. Styles of Dealership policies, and informed him that we do not take back lease cars with out the proper paper work, and the inspection report. Mr. Styles, and another individual were becoming very vocal, and did not want to hear anything regarding the inspection, or the paperwork from Honda. During the entire converstaion, Mr. Justino was trying to convey the policies of the dealership, but the two individuals would not hear any of it. Mr. Justino even gave the individuals the phone numbers for Honda, and for the inspection people. Again, the two individuals would hear none of this. It was at this time that Mr. Justino was being called names by both Mr. Styles, and the other individual. At this time, Mr. Justino asked both of the men to leave the dealership, and to bring their vehicle elsewhere to be turned in. At this juncture, Mr. Styles began to get very abusive, and threathen to break Mr. Justino's fingers. This behavior was not tolerated, and both individuals were asked to leave. In regards to any rip off, as sales reps, we do quote any payments, or interest rates. As always, any interest is always based upon qualification, as well as any payment. It is not the Sales person's job to talk interest or payments to any customer, so if Mr. Styles felt his payment was too high, or the Interest was too high, he should discuss these issues with the proper individuals, and not accuse Mr. Justino of any Rip off. As an after note, there were six salesmen, and the Sales Manager in the dealership at the time of the incident, and witnessed the entire specticle put on by Mr. Styles, and the other Individual. Please do not blame Mr. Justino for something he did not do, nor did he have any control over. Mr. Justino was not rude until forced to defend himself, and was being called names. Sincerely, Sales Rep. Morehead Honda
