Morgan Van Lines aka US Movers false estimates for moving expenses, probably illegal alien drivers that demand cash & beg for tips Chicago Internet and Illinois
I allowed my daughter to find a moving company to move her belongings from Upper Michigan to Denver, CO. Using the internet because here in Upper Michigan these types of businesses are kind of rare, she contaced Morgan Van Lines. Receiving a low estimate she paid a $300. deposit.
The movers showed up in a US Movers truck. After loading the truck the estimate suddenly tripled. One of the drivers cornered my daughter asking to go to the bank with her. A personal check wasn't good enough.
Also, the same driver demanded a tip. I regret working that day, as I wouldn't have let this happen. I wouldn't have let them load the truck until I had a written final price. Any business operating on a cash only basis is hiding from tax laws and probably hiring illegal aliens. Neither driver could communicate in English in any reasonable fashion.
It was obvious that the employer of these men was taking advantage of them if they had to beg for tips. Additional fees were tacked on upon delivery. My daughters bed was damaged upon delivery, and it is obvious we will never have that adjusted. The company makes it hard to communicate with in regard to anything.
All phone calls are routed to a dispatcher who is also illiterate in English and rude. Very little paper work was supplied regarding final price or where this company was operating from. We paid the fee so as not to cripple my daughter's new life in Denver. This chain of thieves needs to be shut down
