Mortgage Docs Mortgage Docs, loan closing company, does not pay its notaries!!! Irvine California
Mortgage Docs is a mobile notary closing service located in Irvine, California. The company is hired by title companies across the US to conduct mortgage closings at the borrower's place of residence. The company will then hire notaries on a case-by-case basis to conduct the closings, notarize the documents, and ship the paperwork back to the title companies. I have handled work for the company for many years. Several years ago there was a change in ownership, the new owner's name is Rudy Baldoni. Since the change in ownership, the company has reduced the fees it pays to the notaries, who do have a choice whether to accept the work for the proposed fee or not.
For a time, Mortgage Docs was taking 60-90 days to pay its notaries. At this time, I am owed for several closings I conducted for Mortgage Docs, going back to December of last year. The company has not paid me and has not responded to several e-mails. I have even e-mailed the title companies who hire Mortgage Docs in hopes that the title companies can help me collect what Mortgage Docs owes me, all to no avail. On several loan closing forum webpages, a number of notaries across the country are posting about having trouble collecting monies owed to them. 1 person was even contacted by Mortgage Docs to conduct a closing and when this person spoke up about not being paid for previous closings, the Mortgage Docs employee replied, "You're not the only one".
Posting this advising all notaries to be careful and NOT accept work from this company, you will be working for free and wasting your time.
