Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

My daughter found a car at this lot that she liked.  She wanted to build her credit so we thought this would be a start.  She found a car that we drove and the salesperson told us that the price was $3,999.  This was still $900 higher than the blue book on this vehicle, but the salesman said we were paying extra for the privilege of financing.  Once we sat down with the paperwork, my story is exactly the same as the others.  They had to have $1,000 downpayment and I also had to pay an additional $300 of the taxes.  The tag is also my responsibility in two weeks, an additional 400.  The car was dead the next morning.  I jumped it off and took it back, asking for a new battery and to have the alternator checked.  They didn't do either; instead told me that the ignition switch was faulty and they made an appointment for me to come back for a third time to have it replaced.  The car had to be jumped off again this morning - I went to have the switch changed, but the car literally just died in the middle if I-295.  They would not send a tow truck or offer any help.  I had to pay $89 for a tow truck to tow the vehicle back to their garage and an additional $150 for a rental car to get back home.  They didn't offer to help with any of it.  While waiting for two hours on the side of the road I began looking at the finance agreement, and they also jacked the cash price of this car up $2000.  The salesman told me that this was because it was financed.  So, my daughter will now be paying $190 a month for 48 months as well as the $1300 cash that I gave them for a fourteen year old car.  And, it still isn't in my driveway.  Stay tuned...mandatory waiver or not, I am contacting an attorney about fraudelent advertising with the warranty for starters and also because this company is actively practicing predatory lending.  I just want my money back but no hope.  Don't ever purchase a car from this company.  You will regret it.

You buy this car apparently "AS IS", did you test drive it?  Did you have your own mechanic check it over, after all, it was for your daughter.  It breaks down and you now expect free warranty service when you didn't pay for a warranty.  If they offered to fix the car for free, then they are at least, doing you a favor.  When you bought this thing, you didn't even bother to read what you were signing BEFORE signing it!  Real smart!  But its all their fault, isn't it?
