Motor Sports Customers Beware!

Motorhelmets.com is an online retailer whom you should think twice about before making an order with them. On 12/13/20007 I inquired about placing and order for Norland N102 Modular Metalic Black Graphite helmet. Following my inquiry I placed the order and receieved confirmation of the order. I was a little hesitant about there ordering system because shipping was not calculated at a given cost as part of the onscreen order, but later off screen following my final permission to purchase. I did call to follow up and was told there was no problem, the shipping would be free, as advertised and my order would arrive in few days.

On 12/12/2007, I called to again confirm the order. I was told the order had been cancelled as the model I had request was no longer in stock, last years model I was told and only current year models were available at a higher cost. The CS rep said Motorhelmets.com had emailed me she but thought that the email probably did not make it as it would likely had appeared as spam. No phone call was made to alert me. Mind you, they were still actively advertising the previous models and old prices.

An alternative product of last years inventory was suggested. Inquired about it, but they CS rep had no information about this products availability. I asked about getting the current year model at the advertised price as the ad did not say it was for 2007 models, only for the specfic variety of model type; No that was not possible.

This internet retailer is in fact only a reseller of other products they they had to order from a wholesaler; they do not keep product inventory and really are not equiped, in my experience, to know what it is they have to provide. Motorhelmets.com demonstrated little concern for the the fact that they were advertising invald prices, on unavailable products and had not intention of making good on their claims with what products were available.

I will not do business with this company again and I suggest that anyone considereing doing business use due diligence before making an order.
