mountain america credit union I HAD money in savings, over draft fees when checking ran out. not allowed to speak with Branch Manager Midvale, , Utah
When I looked on-line on Mountain Americas Credit Union, I had 100 Dollars in over draft fees but I had 500 dollars in my savings. They said by law they only had to give me 6 transfers a month from my savings to prenvent me from getting overdraft fees. I never knew this they said there records said they told me that. I have never heard of such a thing and they gave me 20 dollars back and pocketed 80 dollars for overdraft fees when I still had several hundred dollars in my savings. I asked to speak with the branch manager but was told she had nothing to discuss with me by one of the bank tellers. If it wasn't for the Fedral regulation in place the fees would have been much higher the fed makes them transfer money from your savings to prevent over draft 6 times in one month. I knew I didn't have any money in my checking but it has always been takin out of my savings to prevent charges. and I was never made aware that if I exceeded the so called 6 times I would be penalized 20 dollars per transaction. they kept 80 dollars because of a loop hole in the system and didn't even give me the courtesy to let me speak to the Branch Manager who was too busy drinking her coffee to be botherd with the likes of me.
