Found this website advertising on Craigslist (movinglaborforyou.com and/or 888-297-3349) contracting moving labor at a reasonable rate (4 hour minimum for 2 movers). The owner is an out of state facilitator (Kissimmee FL) who sub-contracts with local labor that she has negotiated a lesser rate with to fill the engagement. She takes an upfront deposit (credit card) with balance due upon completion of the moving task to the sub-contractors. Turns out the deposit is her commission (40%). Her sub-contractors call me at 9PM the night before to confirm details. The sub-contractor then tries to shake me down for an extra $25 per appliance. I inform him that this was not disclosed and I would use my two-wheeler to move the washer and dryer myself. He relents and finishes with "OK we will take care of you if you take care of us". NO CALL NO SHOW. Michelle gets last minute replacements 3 hours late on a 6 hour truck rental. I tip the replacements for their trouble and try to get a partial refund of my "deposit" and she throws a fit and starts yelling at me. BE VERY CAREFULL, NEVER AGAIN.
