The reason for my complaint is complete dissatisfaction with the services I received and did not receive from Moving Services. I began speaking with Kevin Stern at Moving Services in July in regard to my upcoming move from Arizona to Washington in August. Kevin assured me that my belongings would be picked up and delivered in a timely fashion. I signed the contract which stated my belongings would be picked up from Flagstaff, AZ on August 1, 2004. The total cost to be incurred was $1360.00 and I paid a deposit of $476.00 by check on July 27, 2004.

Since that time, I received extremely poor service and false promises. Not only was my move date rescheduled three times, but the last conversation I had with Kevin and the dispatcher from the contract company was ambiguous and unprofessional. I was basically told my belongings may or may not be picked up in a few days, and even then a delivery date of a week or more could not be promised. Meanwhile, I was on the road traveling between AZ and WA and had to spend extra time, money, and cell phone calls trying to establish a time for my move to occur. It was upsetting and made my trip difficult. The dispatchers at the contract company were discourteous and unhelpful and I received different stories about what was going on with the moving trucks. I was surprised at their rudeness and the lack of customer service.

Besides broken promises about moving dates and times, I received poor service and follow-up from Moving Services. Phone calls were not returned, and if they were, it would not be for 2-4 hours later after I was told that I would be called back within 15 minutes. Sometimes, I would never receive calls back, and had to make another phone call the following day.

On August 4, I requested a refund for my deposit after speaking with Kevin Stern about my dissatisfaction and my decision to change moving companies. I wrote a letter to the company and since then have received conflicting stories of who was handling my complaint.

I have been persistent and made several phone calls a week over the past month trying to find out information on the status of my case. The representatives on the other line act like they don't even know me or my case, even though I have talked to them numerous times. Phone calls are never returned. The manager (if he truly exists!) is never available and never responds to my messages.

The request for my refund has been denied. Obviously they must be a scam agency because any other company would be graciously bending over backwards trying to ameliorate my situation. I have never seen or experienced such incredibly poor customer service.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
