Today May 20, 2009 I received a letter from an attorney assistant advising me to retract my complaint against Mr. Cu Landscaping. There are several inaccuracies in this letter. After filing in small claims and filing on Mr. Cu he decided to address the defective work. A man showed up at my home stating he was a cousin of Mr. Cu and that he had several years experience in concrete work. He showed me pictures and examined the patio and agreed it was bad workmanship. After some discussion he said he would redo patio for remaining balance owed to Mr Cu. The patio was redone and the job was what it should of been the first time. The letter I received today states that they represent Mr. Cu and that my report on this website has caused damage to Mr. Cu's business. The man himself put my wife and myself through considerable stress not to mention the damage to two French doors that cost $2200.00 a piece, cement on the house damaging siding which was replaced, cement spilled on new grass and landscaping redrock. The cousin who redid the patio stated Mr. Cu hadn't enough experience in concrete and stamping of concrete. I have the flyer sent to my home by Mr. Cu stating his many years of experience. I have pictures of the original patio and damage by Mr Cu. The man was not going to make the work right until I pusued the matter in small claims and this website. Before the work was redone we had two reputable concrete contractors look at it and give us advise on what to do. My final comments are that the patio is done to our satisfaction and the cost was what it should have been from the original quote. 4/5/2009 Our issues have been resolved with this contractor. We worked it out where another contractor came in and poured and stamped patio. I paid what amounted to final payment on what was contracted through Mr. CU. to contractor and Mr. CU absorbing rest.
