I visited a Mr. Tire
in Raritan NJ (3 Frelinghuysen Ave), for the first time. Not a good experience
at all.  I will never think of returning
for any reason. Before making the appointment, I explained to the store manager
that I had just upgraded my suspension, which caused the height to be one inch
lower than factory. I made the appt. based on the managers stating that the
alignment would be checked before agreeing to proceed with the proposed
alignment.  The alignment was checked and
the manager went over the initial findings with me. The findings were worse
than I had expected, and along with the managers explanation that he could not
really guarantee the results of the alignment, 
I decided not to proceed at that time. I did state to the manager that I
was willing to pay him for time spent on checking the alignment.  At the exact moment that I declined the work
and asked what I owed, the manager ripped up the computer output of the
alignment test, and said I owed him nothing. 
He then started to ramble about how other people he has dealt with in the
past come into the shop expecting miracles. 
I personally think that his actions were rude and not businesslike.   I questioned his statement to me one more
time, after being handed my keys back by the tech.  He continued to ramble on about what other people
had done in the past. I then politely thanked him for his time, and walked out
the store.  I was not impressed at
all.  I was going to let this go, but my
recently deceased mother, taught me never to accept bad service.. A report was filed
with the Corporate Office. I do not treat people with such disrespect, and I
don't believe anyone should be treated that way. At minimum, I asked customer
service for an acknowledgment that someone has actually read the complaint I
sent then. So far no response.  This
speaks volumes.
