Mrs. Maxine Young Hostility and Unprofessionalism in the workplace Coumbia South Carolina
I am here to report Mrs. Maxine Young the owner of McDonald's on Decker Blvd. This woman is the owner and does not know the first bit of how to handle a business in a professional manner. I was employed with them from March 2007 until May 2008 when I recently quit due to her attituide and how she addresses indvidiuals who work for her. If someone is working for you you are supposed to respect each other not intimidate or make the other person feel as if they are less of a person. I have seen on many occasion her talk down and degrade her employees and then tell them that she doesn't need them because there will be two more workers to repalce them next day.
I am a college student attending Claflin University when I first began working I worked on weekends and then on holiday's. I found it amazing that the people I worked would disappear within a weeks time due to mistreatment and verbal abuse from the owner. The ownere also talks down to her managers causing them to become upset and then taking it out on us as the employees. I have to say for someone who always has up a hiring sign they sure don't value there employees.
Last year while working during the summer we worked in horrible conditions not passing one inspection and working without air conditioning which is hazordous to our health and to the health of others. Mrs. Maxine Young has no respect for her employees and that was proven when embarassed countless empolyess on several occasions concering, apperance, conduct, or just straight out blasting them with words that will strip anyones pride, I feel like something should be done not only for Mcdonald's managers and emplolyess but justification needs to be served to the thousands of people who consume their products dailly!
